It's not this way in spite of the British people. The British people are mostly in favor of total surveillance and absolute state control as well, at least based on their voting patterns. The biggest problem I have with this country is there are actually a number of people who think this is a genuinely good idea, most of the time when these crazy laws are written very few people will enforce them or go along with it, but here, It's like they have no will of their own. Some countries think only about the negatives of these websites and consider them a threat. I wouldn't like anyone to constantly police my activities on the internet even though I don't do anything wrong. I respect my privacy.
