This author is clearly doing the research.
After all, if you are using a mixing svc you obviously have something to hide, but if you are using SD you are just gambling... but actually IDK whether SD actually mixes... if they don't, they ought to start doing so & maybe get more customers. It can change the makeup of a wallet where there is much less taint in the coins held. It does leave a direct trace to every wager, and thus for the purpose of mixing fails miserably. When you spend a coin you have to broadcast across the network that you know the public key that produces the public hash (the bitcoin public address) ... so are probably the owner of those coins ... pretty stupid way to make your coins untraceable.
