Title: Is everything ok with Intersango?
Post by: coga on September 06, 2012, 08:18:17 PM
I sent two deposits, and none landed. The oldest one is 26 notifications. I think bitcoin deposits were working fine yesterday.

They used to email me when bitcoin deposit hits the account, but they stopped doing that a few days ago (deposits still worked)

Tried opening support ticket, no response

Is Intersango in working order, or have they too been hacked?...

**EDIT**: Attempted to do a withdrawal to DWOLLA. Those used to be instantaneous, now I do not see it for a few minutes already. I'm starting to get seriously worried now. <-- This worked

EDIT2: finally got a response, I guess false alarm

Hi,

There is no issue. We are merely generating new addresses for our bitcoin hot wallet and saving them on a backup. This is done such that if our hot wallet becomes lost or corrupted then the back up along with the database will not cause a loss to users.

A bitcoin wallet only has 100 standard pregenerated addresses. We pregenerate far more but every few months we must take the system offline for a short period of time to do this process. In the meantime bitcoin transfers are slightly delayed.

We are sorry about this inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Team Intersango

They got some serious problem with Metro Bank.
