Search for their names on Github and try to find matching forum profiles here and see if they have donation addresses in their sigs.

He worked on this problem for a while, dont know if he was actually PAID to fix the problem. don't know the guy personally but if you want to donate, do a little detective work here on the forums and donate to him or his project
