Title: Why don't I get an error message while messaging/trusting myself?
Post by: erikalui on May 17, 2015, 05:39:06 PM
I don't know if this issue has been discussed before but today by mistake I sent myself a PM as I quoted a reply from my outbox. I received a notification that I received a pm from "erikalui". I should be getting an error instead that you cannot PM yourself but why is there no error message? I just realized that I can also leave feedback for myself and report myself.

Can't these options for disabled for a user?

I think you cannot give yourself a *trust (positive, negative or neutral). For the question about the PM, yes it seems strange but you are able to send yourself a personal message (I do not know if it is a bug, but it could be useful - if you want to store something).

Oh OK. I got the message I sent myself today "You have just been sent a personal message by erikalui on Bitcoin Forum." I already save the messages in my outbox so it's not that useful for me and most probably it's a bug.

It's not a bug , it happens if you go to your outbox and Reply all to a group message ,so you just need to remove yourself from there and it's all good :)

It's useful if you want to send yourself a note.

Adding yourself to your trust list is harmless, do I didn't prevent it.
