Title: Will buy smokes for you [EU only] Non-profit!
Post by: iluvbitcoins on May 19, 2015, 11:26:58 AM
As I'v seen a lot of people selling cigarettes on this forum, I figured I'd allow you guys to shop in my country :)

I will just buy them and ship them to you at resale price with no profit to me at all  :)

Why?

My country is in an economic crysis, I guess I'm helping us out by buying some of our products and paying our shipping companies :D

I'm not yet sure how many packs I can fit in a letter, a package etc. so I'll start with some test orders and we'll see how it goes :D

If you were to convince me shipping them internationally is 100% legal, I will ship internationally, however I'm not certain about it and I'm too lazy to explore, so I'm only shipping inside the EU for now  :)

My location is Croatia

These are the prices in Croatian kuna (HRK)
1 kuna is ~0.15$ so just multiply the price with 0.15

A letter shipping cost is ~1.15$ (7.6 kuna)
Priority letter is ~1.7$ (11 kuna)
Package ~ 11.5$ (75 kunas)

Pick a pack you want, shipping option and contact me and we'll start
I'm figuring a starting test order would be good at around 2-3 packs  :D

Btw, I recommend Walter Wolf, those are some good smokes  :)

I'm interested in some Camel Filters from Croatia, and the price is about $2 per pack cheaper there than it is over here, according to your prices and the HRK/USD exchange rates you listed. I'm in the US though, I know it can be done and has been done, but not 100% sure if it's technically legal or not. You should ask user "only" for any questions related to international cigarette shipments you may have. Let me know if you decide to ship overseas, and good luck boosting your local economy.   :)

How much can you get cartons for?
I'm in the EU but I know that there's still a limit on how many I can import (especially by post).
I'd be interested in Marlboro and L&M if you can get them for a good price.

We're going to try, I'll be accepting tips  :D
As I see, someone is allowed to bring up to 200 cigarettes into USA
So I guess I can send up to a carton

Up to 800 cigarettes can be transferred from 1 EU country to another EU member
No problem here, I think..

I have no idea how post here works, I see I'm allowed to send a letter weighing up to 2kg but I'm not sure if letters go that big lol
I think I should use a package for such a shipment, which is 11.5$
That's 1.5$ per pack if you buy only 1 carton, you should buy at least 2, so it's only 0.75$ extra
I'm inquiring right now about shipping this on some forums  :D

I belive the rules say that you can order as much as you like without paying tax (EU to EU trades) as long as it for your own use.
The rule of thump is that it should be less than 800 cigarettes.
You will not need a custom declaration, so the chance of anybody looking inside your package is infinite small.
But to be sure stay under 800 per shipping.

I see Malboro Gold's are 22,00, does that mean $22 x .15 for 20 cigarettes?

If so, I'll buy 5 packs right now.

okay, thanks  :)
what about international shipping?

I know it depends on the country of the buyer, but let's say USA
As a traveler, you're allowed to import 200 cigarettes (1 carton) into the country without having to pay taxes

If I ship them is it the same rule?
Or if the pack gets opened the buyer will still need to pay taxes for it?

I see Malboro Gold's are 22,00, does that mean $22 x .15 for 20 cigarettes?

If so, I'll buy 5 packs right now.

22x0.15= 3.3$ /pack
However you need to pay for shipping too

Traveling and trading is two different things.

The import tax will always depend on the importing country, I do not know the rules for the countries outside EU.
As a seller then is your only obligation: not to sell anything that is illigal to export to the the given country ... and you must write a custom declaration...  the burden on import tax is on the buyer.

Said in a different way, all you need to do as a seller, is to check that it is not illigal to export cigarettes to the given country and write a correct declaration.

In EU, then should you not do anything at all, just ship (afaik)

Also another thing:
You need to make clear, who should be responsible if a parcel is lost?
Is it you? is it the buyer? do you split?
This is a considerable risk as a seller, and since you are none-profit, then will you over time have negative profit, if you have to soach up the loss for missing parcels.
