Title: Poloniex now allowing short sales on some coins. Post by: sdmathis on May 19, 2015, 04:20:26 PM What do you think of Poloniex allowing us to short Monero, Ripple, Dash, and Litecoin? Personally, I'm stoked about the ability to make short sales on some alts. I hope they add more coins soon. Any thoughts?

Thus, I am wondering how they want to secure short trades financially. There is too less liquidity in those alts to allow riskless short trades for Polo.
Title: Re: Poloniex now allowing short sales on some coins. Post by: spud21 on May 19, 2015, 05:31:38 PM Shorting could make those coins prices highly volatile. Most exchanges have litecoin markets and there could be a knock on effect on the prices any of the coins priced in litecoins.

Post by: mrvegad on May 19, 2015, 07:02:10 PM To bad polo can't figure out how to sync wallets, there are some wallets on polo (Qora and Burst plus one more I can't remember) that have been unavailable for over 24hrs, they support can't figure out how to sync the wallets.
