Hi all. I've recently launched Bitfortip.com (http://Bitfortip.com)


It enables users to tip & earn bitcoins by simple posting and answering questions from other members.

How does it work.

To be able to post a question you will need to fund your account with bitcoins. You then connect the question with a bitcoin reward of your choice (say for example 0.05 btc) that is being held in escrow. What happens next? When someone gives the right answer or information you were looking for, you then manually release the reward and the 0.05BTC is credited to his btc wallet address.

Minimum amount required to post a question is. 0.0001 BTC .

You can try and post inquiries on were people will search to find you a better price deal for on an item/service that you want to buy, or find you a certain link, a photo, legal advice, tour suggestion e.t.c

This would have been a very lovely idea but I really dislike the idea of manually release the reward to the person that answers right, I think it should be automated, the person should just click that this is the right answer and the funds should be automatically credited to the persons account.

It can't be done automatically because what if someone gives a wrong information and marks it as correct?  There will be spamming right away.


The only way is that the person that putted the question verifies that this is the information that he is looking for and then manually releases the bitcoins that are held in escrow to the member that gave him the correct tip.

Facebook signup is not working on your site. I have just tried it, showing some error. Can you fix this issue plz.

Do you already have an account there? You might get the error because you are using the same email.

I signed up with facebook account today. Good idea but activity is low at the moment , nothing to answer.

It depends on what someone might post on the site.
Also when a reward is offered, people will tend to pay more attention and not ignore the posts.

A good example is the following :
If someone is looking for a better deal on a certain item.

Person A wants an item that costs 100$.
Offers a 0.002btc reward for someone to find him the item at a better price.

Person B replies that he has found the item that he wants at 85$.
Person A confirms and rewards Person B with the 0.002 btc reward.

So both parties benefit.

Yes I did because I don't have any question to ask yet, I might fund the account with an amount greater than that whenever I have a genuine question to ask.

This is probably the best use case for bitfortip.com that both parties benefit.

User posted to find him a Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB (White) for less than 750$ AUD in exchange for some bitcoins.

So far the best price that someone has found is 638 $


That means that he will save at least 112$ by giving 0.004274 BTC as a reward.

Whenever a new inquiry is posted on bitfortip.com (http://bitfortip.com) members will be informed with an email notification.

You will be able to disable them on your profile.

This will increase spam to peoples email addresses and they will unsubscribe / de-register. I did not check, if you can enable/disable these notifications?

I like the idea, but it could easily be replaced by someone offering a reward in a post on a forum like this, with a huge member base. How do you add value, other than offering a

escrow service and manual payment? Who is judging the answers, other than the person offering the reward? I could easily post a question and never be satisfied with any answer

@ Kprawn It is very clearly stated on my previous message that you will be able to disable the email notifications on your profile.

The person that posted the inquiry decides to whom to give the reward. It stays there until someone is selected.

I enjoy this service, but it seems there are too little users using this. It is fun to answer questions, earning bits as well. :) I suggest you can add a 'credits' system where credits are given to online users daily, and can be used to ask questions. This promotes the activity there and spark the interest of users, and the credits can then be exchanged for bits, but requires a lot.

I tried my first small deposit, hope to see this go on, perhaps you should add some ads or 1% charge on the tips so you can implement the credits feature, and earn a little too! Fun site, hope everyone would try it! :D

Looks like the OP, stanius21, registered donkeykong, to get their bounty refunded by leaving a fake answer. Nuts to that!
