Hey guys, everyone has their own meaning on what they think Bitcoin really is...

Is it somewhat a "come and go" currency for you as everytime it comes to you, you exchange it for fiat???

Is it a revolution for you in the world of fiat???

Is it something extraordinary which a guy named Satoshi gave us as a gift???

What do you feel about Bitcoins???

For me, Bitcoin is something that help me to do transaction easily (without no one permission) 8)

You mean a free currency, or something you have a hold upon completely which others can't track, right???

Bitcoins are a way to prevent our personal details being revealed while transacting, as in most cases with fiat.

I meant, Bitcoin is made me can do transactions with other people even I'm not yet 18. Most of Credit/Debit Card only allow 18 years old person, but with Bitcoin I can transfer a money to anyone without restriction.

at this point bitcoin for me means being able to send and receive money without any links to my personal details. also very important is that there are no chargebacks.

I see it as the new invention the world has been waiting for, to unite people and the worth of their products worldwide and disgard the unfairness of how FIAT money is functioning.

for my bitcoin is something which really helped me to fulfill my needs and my dreams too...this is really what i wished for..it is a future currency and it will attract future ...i support it and yes i am speading it everyday as much as i can

I think that there is maybe a reason for age restriction on FIATs payments, but I am not here to judge. People are different and I believe that they are allowed to do whatever they want as long as they are not hurting others.

I am here because of freedom that bitcoin gives me. I am able to transfer my funds whenever I want in a minute or so without problems and fees.
I don't have to pay taxes for bitcoins and I believe that bitcoin is also investment in my future. But we will see about that in a couple of years.

Hey, they certainly do have their own meaning of what it is for them and that is the beauty of it isn't it and what makes this market totally awesome.

No it is not a come and go currency to me I hold and save my coin and will only spend when needed it is more of a safe saving method to me.

It is a way of keeping a part of your worth away from the reach of the undesirables who ever they are to you  :D

It is a wonderful gift s/he has gave to us all, the little taste of freedom and being our own bank in a safe way.

I love what bitcoin stands for and am excited for the future, glad to have been here for as long as I have.

Bitcoin is a new way of receiving payment for work I do online, both on bitcointalk and outside bitcointalk. It is much more convenient than paypal and chargeback protection is better for me (as a "seller"). Bitcoin stands for an ideal I believe in, that banks are time bombs in our economy with their fractional reserve banking and credit swaps. It is also a small investment for me because I do believe bitcoin is going to be something great in the future, not necessarily next year or the year after that.

what i think is that bitcoin is a great innovation, because it brings the full control over your money, and you do not rely on nobody

but it also saved my ass from this crisis, it's money after all

Bitcoin is a way to store wealth and spend it online, later on or in an other country someday.

Come and go currency how would it come to me to cash out if I never brought it to begin with? Not many people get paid in bitcoin for services or work at present. Is it not a revolution to everyone in the world of fiat? (Yes) Is it something extraordinary he has gave us? (Yes) "Revolutionary" I feel Bitcoin and the block chain is a game changer and here to stay.

Bitcoin for me is a way to avoid dealing with the government and banks. I like the idea of being the real owner of my money.

Where can you store value digitally in a very secure manner without using third parties, and still be in full control of everything? You know the answer ;)

Bitcoin is and has been a come and go currency for me because I trade it and then spend the profit on living  :-\ Would love to be able to save it but finding it hard at the moment. Yes anyone who has a mind knows this is revolutionary to the world of the controlled fiat.

Satoshi has gave us a gift and I for one am thankful for it, will it last? who knows! I don't feel a lot about bitcoin other than it is an upgrade to the controlled fiat system, I am not in love with it or anything but feel it is a step in the right direction.

Just an interesting piece of technology and maybe a way to earn a small profit ;)

Bitcoin to me is a store of value, almost like a stock/share that I am sitting on, waiting for it to hopefully massively increase in value.
I'm perfectly happy & willing to wait years & years for it to maybe make me some serious money.
I understand bitcoin is an amazing piece of technology, an amazing discovery but I don't use it as a currency.
I just want the price to soar so I can cash into fiat or if massive, worldwise, mainstream adoption occurs then live on bitcoin.
Bitcoin in it's current status is of no use to me as a currency, I just hodl, hopefully waiting for much better times.

I first thought about it as The Internet's money. The Global Village's currency. I was a bit oblivious to the real world applications it offered. More and more I see it playing a role in machine-to-machine transacting.

To me bitcoin is a revolutionary idea that could change the world. Whether it will or not will only be realized over time but I have both faith and patience. I guess all I can do in the meantime is keep spreading the word and hopefully it'll catch on in the mainstream eventually.

Don't just keep spreading the word only, but also try to make it, spend it and take experiences as to how it feels being a Bitcoiner...
Bitcoins to me are means of payment between us and merchants without any mediators having any hold of any information of any of us, which helps us to keep the privacy of ourselves saved to us only...

Right now, to me Bitcoin is a project with a lot of potential.
I cannot say anything else for now because it's still too early to draw conclusions.

Bitcoin is for me new, revolutionary project how to get rid from the banks and achieve financial freedom.
I don't like banks and their rules and regulations, fees etc.
Bitcoin have great potential to help us become financially free from the banks and government's financial institutions.
Bitcoin is also way of life, we are independent people thinking with our own brain, not brainwashed by the media and society.
We are beginning of the new, free society.

for me it is a way to earn money, and i am not only talking about signature campaign but other ways.
at first i was introduced to bitcoin i liked the idea and the way it works and little by little i found ways to earn bitcoin and use them,

To me Bitcoin is

- the freedom of using my wallet at my own will.

- not having to worry about my banks since I am my own banker.

- ............

It's the worlds first digital decentralized currency and I think it's a genius idea. I hope it becomes the first widely accepted worldwide currency too.

for me bitcoin is the source of my livelihood because I do not have a job so I rely on bitcoin until no longer useful

If you do not have a job then how is it your livelihood? Please don't tell me bitmixer campaign that would not pay a weeks rent in 2months. The best bet is to find a job to rely on and buy bitcoin as a hobby. It will always be useful, if nothing else this is a criminals paradise.


I am going to be sticking around long enough to be part of that if that day ever comes. I don't hold my breath though a lot of power will work against that doing anything to destroy any chances of it happening.

Bitcoin is my passion and my 2nd life feeling wonderful to part of this amazing community, my experience with Bitcoin is truly fantastic and this is best invention of 21st century who is going to change the whole economic world.

Bitcoin makes me money, and makes it easy to seperate what I want to keep for investments and what to throw into my savings.

You can not change the fiat world, but you have some alternative currency that suits a special group of people's interest: Geeks and libertarian

bitcoin was a way out for people like me who do not or have not had a job because bitcoin i could have the money to buy something i want XD

For me its an internet money that help many people with their everyday life. And it help me find this forum and i learned so many thing in this forum like crypto currency.

for me bitcoin is a ticket to get rich . it is the simplest way yet complicated by which a person can earn money . i recommend to this to most of my friends .

With this kind of investment I dont think 5 years is enough for bitcoin to make sure that he will be potential to us. For now of course it will be potential but how about next 5 years? This 5 years is too early to make any judgement to bitcoin. And I think there are always got a new things about bitcoin every year

I advice you not to see it as a get rich quick scheme but as a technology which has the potential to change the way the world pays/receives money...

Truth.  It is not a vessel to "get rich quick".  It is a currency; not a ponzi scheme.

Bitcoin for now, I use it to move money from point A to B, but I time it well, buy low, sell high for a little profit

Wait till all start ups complete the apps or develop apps that uses blockchain that is the key

i think you shouldn't hope to bitcoin if you really want to become rich you should have a regular job and also you are industrious and have a patient. And have a good quality of education and respect.

Bitcoin is not really a good investment now because the price is volatile. Best investment is of course gold, because the price is much more stable .


Bitcoin is not a fast way to be rich if you are not the early adopter. The early adoptes of course are rich now because the price has increased alot from the past


For me, bitcoin is just a trading currency that helps traders to get profit since it got a price that is quite volatile and ofcourse trader love it

For me, bitcoin is universal crypto currency. You could do any transaction with that, like gambling, fiat exchanging, and buying something just from your computer or smartphone. Be rich is not the main function from bitcoin, it just one of the benefits if you have skill in trading.

I see in it "Hope" that one day bitcoin will emerge as the alternate currency replacing all the fiat money. That within, lies the answer to all the fiat dilemma that is plaguing the society for decades, cheating people along the way and robbing honest people of wealth.

how bitcoin is not stable when we are floating in the same range since months, bitcoin is stable than ever right now, it's a good time to buy, before every recent good news, will make it skyrocket

How is it treating you so far? I think most people who got into it before its peak have lost money if they kept hold of it. I think those who want to get rich quick may have to wait a while. Most will get bored before then.


Bitcoin is whatever you want it to be but nothing is certain. There definitely is a good chance to profit from it as a speculative investment, so he could make money off it but that doesn't make it a ponzi.

hhahaa we all know that bitcoin is the biggest exchange currency in the world and also its value are depend on the buyers or demand and supply .

What I didn't get is, where that guy shulio talk about the stability of coins???

this is a temporary thing that has happened after a long period of unstable prices. but i only hope that it stays this way forever.

i don't care if 1BTC is worth 1 million dollars or 1 dollar as long as it stays at a fixed price. but i don't think it is gonna stay this way for long :(

If you dont care its up to you but some people that invested a lot of it do care about the price of it and they will make sure that bitcoin is never get lower from what they bought and that is what make the price is stable. Anyway if the price is dropping till $1 I dont think there got traders again in this world so it doesnt have any fixed price again for bitcoin

A smarter cheaper way to trade which removes a single central entity controlling something we have no need for them to control.
