No surprise there. Extreme prohibition only encourages illegal usage. An example is Pakistan. The government there has blocked almost all the porn sites, but still people find innovative ways to search for it. See this:

Well yeah, but everyone is into some weird fetish or other.  Maybe he had a fetish that would really annoy people, like he was into white women (or men!).  I guess it doesn't matter as much as just releasing that he had a stash.  But there has to be something specific in that stash that would annoy his supporters.

I have no information or evidence, but this is the kind of story the CIA likes to get into the media. I think it's quite possible some analyst thought this would hurt OBL's legacy. Isn't it possible that he kept a porn stash for reasons other than personal enjoyment though? Most sites that have covered this aspect of bin Laden's life don't go into any further detail about why someone like him would have a porn stash in the first place. He considered himself to be an enemy of the Western world, its policies, and its values. Pornography is both a product of Western culture (whether we like it or not) as well as an example of un-Islamic values. For someone like bin Laden who wanted to establish Sharia law across the entire Arab world (which prescribes female modesty, enforces separation of the sexes, and considers fornication and adultery as crimes against Allah), it would be really out of character.

For instance, it would be understandable for someone who despises Judaism and Jews to own copies of the Torah and Jewish scriptures in order to understand what exactly it is that they oppose. A Creationist might own a copy of The Origin of Species for the same reasons. From reading the article below, I'm fairly certain that Richard Dawkins has a few bibles and other religious books laying around his house as well:

For most Muslims, Islamic laws regarding seggragation and non-revealing clothing is not applicable for non-Muslim women. So there is nothing wrong with OBL watching nude non-believer girls.

Please don't misinterpret Islamic view. It is not permissible for Muslims to watch others nude whether "Muslim" or "Non-muslim".

You know I actually read this before and there seems to be evidence that you are correct.  Things like inconsistent accounts of the raid that kept changing, shenanigans involving the body, lying about specifics like Obama and crew watching the raid live, and stuff like this that backs up your post:

You are correct, the whole thing was just more b.s. put out there to further their lies - Osama had been dead for who knows how long, check the supposed videos of him over the years they fed to us and you'll notice variances in facial structure, noses, etc. When they released Obama's birth certificate and then announced the "assassination" of Bin Laden and how they didn't have a body because it was dumped overboard and the majority of Americans bought it, I knew then and there they'd be able to sell anything to the public.
