Ever since we got back online, I'm experiencing some pretty frustrating slowness, pages are taking ages to load and I tend to get a 502 error whenever I try to load pages in quick succession  :( I do hope this is a temporary thing and that we'll get back to regular speed soon, anyone else experiencing this?

same thing, but now it appear to be more fast and stable, theymos said it should be fine from now

It's slow for me as well.   I can't say for sure but it may be some sort of ddos attack.   It works intermitently.

Yes, I was getting a lot of 502 Bad Gateway errors too, about an hour ago.
Now it seems it's working well again.

a while ago the site loads very slow for me but now it loads the normal speed. Maybe things got back to normal now

Site is loading bit slower for me too and I really hope everything gets normal again, though its good now and working fine almost ... moments ago was lagging a bit.

I feel everything will be right back as normal but need sometime, so no big problems :)

Right now it is running great.   But 30 minutes ago or so there was some slowness.

Was also not able to get to it for around 30 seconds or so when load time was really very bad.

Working nicely for me, thank god.

Doesnt it open threads and replies a bit slow as compared to earlier ? I think it loads a bit slower for sure.

Got the same problem, all 502 bad gateway.
Don't know why, hope this can be fixed ASAP.

Same for me, I have been getting constant 502 Bad Gateway errors. I wonder if it is due to increased usage or if the hackers are doing a DOSS attack?

I have to refresh after every single post or page I load, and it's getting crazy to read anything without interruption.

It also moans about the SSL certificate being suspect, but I did check it, and it's fine.

I cannot ping it from work, due to extreme secuurity & firewalls etc.. etc.. {What kind of response are you getting?} 

I am just glad it's back online and nothing was lost.  ;D

yesterday(after restart) forum was very slow, but now as usually.

Earlier today, it is slow as hell, but after several hours, everything seems to be fine again. It is worrying that this forum already received 2 attacks within a short time frame (the last one happened on 2nd of April). I'm starting to think that the attacks are somewhat related to some legal actions regarding a scam.

It seems a bit sluggish and there´s the occasional 502 error. No emergency here though but hope they get it soon working as well as before. Good luck, g

Now bitcointalk is on a new and more secure server. As per security basics, a more secure site is bit slower and  I also got 502 bad gateway nginx error today.

Seems to be relatively snappy on my end currently (knock on wood)

For me now its working very nicely and like it was always :)

It is not slow at all for me. I think forum is back to normal now. Been missing the forum for a few days. Happy to be back.

yesterday it was very slow and was showing errors. now it works quick and smooth as usual. let's hope it stays like this. we had have seen enough drama already.

It will stay like this until some hackers again waste their time  :(

It's slow for me as well, but I think may be it's my smartphone also slow.

It seems to go on and off on speed.  Right now it seems fine.

But earlier today it was crawling on speed.  So I'm not sure what's happening.

today it takes some time for pages to load. maybe a ddos? previous days bitcointalk was performing fine, it started being slow in the morning.

all previous issues like 502 error and lags are solved..all works fine now.

There are daily some periods where Bitcointalk is very slow. i guess the site is attacked daily by DDOS attacks which need to be fended.

It was pretty slow to begin with for me but now everything seems to be back to normal, pretty fast tbf.
I'll admit, I was pretty annoyed when the site went down but on reflection it's not theymos' or the web host/servers fault, there are always going  to be scammers / low lives unfortunately.
The internet can be such an anonymous place so people will try to take advantage of that in any way they can for fun to troll or to try & be thieves.

As I & others before me have said though, everything seems to be back to normal & running really smoothly.

I think it's back to normal for now. I remember I did online after maintenance and it's pretty damn slow. So i waited several days and online again, and it's back to normal condition :D
Good job for admin and technical support for this site, hope there's no more hacking attempt in the future

I would agree it's much better today for me.  I have not had any slow down.  So I'm happy with performance.

Not sure what was happening yesterday, but seems to be done or gone.

i can still experience some downtime late in the evening, the occasional error 502 or the forum is a bit slow, i think is just theymos that is checking the status of his server

I'm not getting 502 but a hour or so ago I was getting slowness again.  Maybe eventually the forum will mention it.  I'm curious if it's effect of moving data centers or if someone is trying to DOS or something like that.

At my place, sometimes it really takes long to open an thread...then it works normaly for 30 mins, than again waiting.

Sometimes forum is down but go back again in minutes.

Now everything is fine..all tunnels are closed i think ..forum is back on its pace...thumbs up for theymos..he deserves to be worth all the time..

It is back to normal for me all day.   I have not had slowdown all day.  So that is a win.  Whatever was going on seems to have stopped.

I'm happy to be past it at this point.  Was no fun if you post and it started to crawl. 

i am still experiencing some difficulty opening pages. i have to refresh the page a couple of times in order to open the page. this is going on since the hack and changes that happened after that.

also when posting it sometimes doesn't go through and i have to click back and post again.

for me it's working fine, maybe after the blackout the forums become really hard to load, some message was deletes, but now it's perfect!

Working terribly here, I have to wait a minute after I press post. Sometimes it gets a little bit better, but definitely the forum works worse by far than before the outage. Don't know what happened, and it's for sure not my ISP.

Strange, it's been loading pretty well for me the last few days and I'm on a really shitty slow connection, wasnt long ago I was getting regular 502 errors.
You having that problem just on this forum or on other sites aswell?

it is not only you, I am having the same problem with loading pages, it is slow.

Yep, even with a pretty stabe connection i'm taking ages to access posts by clicking on them, this one for example it took more ta 40 seconds to load but if i do click on a favorited link, i have previous visited on the same login session (without turning pc off) i do get it open on a much faster rate, not the sabe before the attack.. but still better

It was great yesterday for me.  Very fast and no problems at all.

But right now it's crawling.  Just very slow connection barley usable.

here also the whole day slow loading pages. yeaterday it was much better. ddos protection doesn't seem to do much if it is enabled.

Yep, it was working great for a few days here as well.  Today it has been really slow off and on.  I wonder what is going on behind the scenes?  These slowdowns kinda make me paranoid, I hope everything is ok.

It was extremely slow a few hours ago. It's back to normal for me, though. Let's not jinx it.  ::)

And now it's working great for me again.  I can not figure out what it is.  But it was very very slow.   And now pages seem to be snappy and open right up.

Can anyone tell us what's going on? Is it a new data center problem?  Or ddos? Or other cause?

Yeah its very slow when loading new posts into threads. Can take up to 60 seconds or not load at all.

yes apparently they're working hard to restore this website, after the problem down which takes 4-6days

Right now the website is kinda pretty fast and smooth, however I was facing slow response from server yesterday, it took 1-2mins to load a page, and it seemed to take forever to make a post.

Its been very slow in the past couple days (since the crash). It took me a while to send a PM (PM never actually did send. just was loading forever), and the search is also disabled. The forum seems to be in a pretty bad state right now after the crash

it's fairly fast for me. though there is 2-3 seconds intervals between "waiting" and "transferring data". I thought it was just my connection but I was wrong
