Title: Circle vs Coinbase Fees Withdrawing to Bank Account.
Post by: viking02 on May 28, 2015, 03:10:53 AM
Have BTC in electrum.  So its 1 percent fee to go from coinbase to bank of america bank account and its ach and takes 2-4 business days correct?  Or is it 2-4 days?  But if i send btc from electrum to circle and then send it to bank of america... same ach and take same amt of days but no fees?  If true... why would anyone use coinbase then?

Also... is there a limit to how much you can transfer from coinbase to bank of america bank acct or circle to bank of american bank acct?

I would guess it's due to coinbase having such a loyal base including me.  But I might have to give circle a try someday.  Thanks for sharing.

It appears circle is free as far as withdrawal fees to bank - https://support.circle.com/hc/en-us/articles/202941180-What-are-deposit-withdraw-options-  That is pretty impressive I have to admit.

there is a weekly limit that increase the more you use their site, and start at 1k total, but this rule was from late 2014, i don't know if they changed it

Well circle is trying to get pretty big on this market, and i don't doubt they can do it with the amount they invested and with this "offer" you just told us abount.
I will still keep on Coinbase for some more time at least i see more reviews about circle but it do feels pretty safe for all their media ads (showing owners face/name and this kind of stuff), sure being complete registered also helps a lot.

I've been using circle a lot lately. In fact, I've bought more than 5,000 USD in bitcoins with my CC there, I've made deposits too into my debit card and it went well, feel free to trust circle.

Just like any online exchanger, I never leave any amount of bitcoins in them (although circle.com has an insurance)

hey all.  Im going to create the circle account.  Whole point is to sell btc to circle so i get ACH funds into my bank of america checking account.  Can someone tell me what is the max I can do on my first transaction going from my electrum wallet to circle and then to my bank of america?  Is there limit 1k?  But later on much higher?  And if so, how much are the daily, weekly and monthly limits for selling btc as I like to transfer btc to bank of america.

Has anyone had trouble adding a CC to Coinbase for instant buys? I have tried to verify it twice with no luck. Is it instant on Circle? Thanks!

You're right - why would anyone use Coinbase when there's a cheaper and/or more flexible option with Circle?

You should also consider that Circle may be offering competitive features (like low/no fees or super fast processing) as a way to attract new customers. Don't get me wrong, I like Circle and their UI and UX are pretty decent...try them...share your experience with us.

Maybe that's why Coinbase is offering a $75 referral bonus?

I would say its for people who have the ability to buy bulk with coinbase, and you have that security level done or purchase power with them.

Other then that, I dont see why anyone would stick with either circle or coinbase.

Most of mine have been through the forum thread, or in cash person.
