Yeah that's pretty good idea, but do you ever heard about this site https://www.changetip.com/
It's just like the same thing

I am guessing that everybody wants a piece of the pie and attempt to compete with others (Bitcoin included).

This is the thing about all these payment methods:
They hold on to your money until you want to use it.
And of course they know your spending habits, can confiscate if a warrant appears, etc, etc.

I'be heard about this feature from a friend last week, it is real easy to use. But we have to use a debit card issued by a US bank. Credit cards, prepaid debit cards, or debit cards issued outside US will not work. Money received will be credited to the bank account in 3 business days.

I heard about this feature in bitcoin. You can send money to friends! Just use their public address, set the amount of btc you want to send to them and you are set! They only need to have this wallet thing, just like you need an account on facebook!

I was blown away when I heard this!

Or they could have used Bitcoin which is available worldwide and can be transferred within 10 minutes (give or take a few minutes).
The problem is converting Bitcoin to fiat - which takes time.
BUT, you can use it immediately in stores that accept it.

Truly great, just think of entering something like "BTC0.05 'friend's btc address' " into messenger and getting redirected to Bitpay.com with the users' address to be able to pay them directly...

Haha. Exactly. This isn't really bitcoin related either but like the above just said why would we need this when the beauty of bitcoin is that we can bypass using third parties. You could just stick your bitcoin address in your Facebook or Twitter profile any way and people can send you money independently. I think some sort of changetip integration would be worthwhile, though.

Why would you want to send money over Facebook in stead of just sending money directly not through facebook?

It sounds like this is a very poor version of Bitcoin that should probably be ignored.

if they really want to chat while they send money, perhaps in the future a new client with integrated chatroom could be made, to satisfy those people

something like skype or telegram would be good

This will happen but the question is how good integrated are these systems around the world. Perhaps they are going to be a local market at first.

No real need, I wouldn't want anything  facebook related to my transactions. If you really need to send someone money and communicate via Facebook messenger I suggest linking them a web wallet site and sending the coin to their public address.
but you must admit that if bitcoin was seen a way to transmit money by the millions of users that facebook have it would be so awesomely viral

Well, pseudonymity that Bitcoin provides will go out of the window if it is linked to Facebook.
I hardly use Facebook these days.

most of the social media tipping services are not bitcoin transactions. they are social snooping tools looking for messages to then add and subtract amounts found on a mysql database...

and while users are playing with mysql database entries the app owner is hoarding the coins. so with that said, its not really bitcoin app.. its just a mutated paypal donation service that just happens to have bitcoins hoarded deep in the background

On the platforms where widgets or plugins are not supporting Changetip, I have included my URL --->  >> http://Kprawn.tip.me << {Even as part of my signature on webmail accounts}

People can click on that and be redirected to the site to tip me, if they like what I said.  ;)

It would have been easier if this was built into Facebook, but whilst they not doing it, I will implement it myself.  ;)

You have to be creative to stay in front of the crowd or you will get trampled.  ::)

the problem is they will use the new system or keep using the old famous ones, there are too many of those chatroom software/services, and created another one, might end up creating a dead one, that will no be used heavily

Well that may be true but look on the bright side: it allows people to send micro-transactions without paying fees everytime and it is also good for spreading adoption which is never a bad thing.

I would love an embedded chat inside some of wallets, maybe not the bitcoin core one since its just not needed, but for HD wallets which are more private, it could be a good way. Of course the point is facebook is huge and would bring mass attraction to BTC.

This could be really great for the Bitcoin community.
If average people are going to adopt bitcoin, they have to be able to use it without even really knowing they are using bitcoin, or feeling like they are subjected to a complicated process.
Not everyone has the time to do extensive research about bitcoin before they begin to use it. In fact, most of the people browsing the Internet today couldn't tell you how DNS works, the same is true for bitcoin.
