Title: Waiting for the crash
Post by: 8up on May 29, 2015, 09:23:55 AM
For me, it feels a lot like 12/31/1999. Everybody was so curious back then. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2000_problem

"What do you think will happen? Maybe all the lights go out at midnight! Are there emergancy plans?"

It was a great disillusion, when it became clear that nothing - not a thing went wrong on that day. Well, nice party anyway. ;D

J.Lo even wrote a song about it: "Waiting for tonight the crash."

Will we see a crash?

IMO: Well maybe, if btc-e shuts down, okcoin is announcing insolvency and bitlicense kills the marketplace in NY.

You don't have to wait, already happened and it's continue happening..

snip

what crash? there is no fluctuation at all, to me it look like the calm before the storm, the price can only rise from now, the downtrend is a thing of the past

"the price can only rise from now"

The price can most certainly drop from now, $235 is a lot of money for a piece of computer code.

"the price can only rise from now"

Coming from the guy who advised taking a loan out to buy btc near the top.

Berkshire Hathaway cost more than $100k, thats a lot of money for a piece of paper.

uhm? when i advised such a thing tell me? i don't remember this at all, the fact that we are not dropping anymore, is a clear signal of a stable price, that will lead to a raise eventually, it's just a matter of time

The crash already happened, and it was 1.2K to 235 territory. Now we'll have a long period of low price before we go multiple factors of magnitude above the latest ATH. 6 figure per BTC is mathematical unavoidable fact in the next 10 years. If you don't see it you aren't connecting the dots.

What you expect forum goes down again? Was not one crash enough? You want more? I think you got greedy.

I think we're almost certain to enter an upwards price move faurly imminently.
The bears haven't got any more coins to dump now, if they have where are the sub 200 prices we heard about so much?
I think things are bubbling under the surface nicely & we're just waiting for something to pop before we go up.
Somebody has shook the bottle of Pepsi up, what's going to open it ;)

Oh wait, how about a sudden rise and we unexpectedly see the price breaching the 1000 level once again. The real problem here is that people are so convinced that it will go down to end up becoming nothing, that we failed to see the opposite. And for the crash to really have so much impact, I would expect all the big exchangers to all go down at the same time. So, very much unlikely..

The only reason it will be 6 figures would be a massive devaluation of the usd in that time span.. But it is good to keep dreaming.

According to this http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/37tm1b/czs_statement_regarding_the_dispute_between/

OKCoin insolvency could be a real thing.

it's funny how you are talking about a crash after there was a rise, basically nothing happened as usual, we are there(same range) since ages

I was listening one podcats yesterday on Lets Talk Bitcoin. Apparently current price is right about how much on average is needed to mine Bitcoins. So extreme long time rashes and Extreme long time raises are not even possible. Bit coin price will stay here as it is. $50-$1000. With next halving, things will change.
