Title: Here comes the drop...
Post by: kwukduck on May 30, 2015, 09:26:22 AM
Seems the bagholders can no longer counter the immense selling pressure...
Prepare for a fight to stay above 200 the next two days.

Seems to be holding fine for now.. Unless you mean the 1 usd bounces that it keeps making around the 234-238 mark..

Have you any argument supporting your claim or were you just bored and decide to make a thread?

Finally the new accounts have stopped being created and now as suspected the posts come from the legendary account. We will not be going below to $200 and if we do briefly then I will be a happy as larry because more than likely will have some orders filled. Will pm you to give yo a tip if it does .

Exactly, open any chart on https://bitcoinwisdom.com and you will see a continuing decline (all the bitcoin price history). Bitstamp for example:

1MB Bitcoin Legacy is old and busted.

I'm saving my fiat for Bitcoin XT, which features new & improved 20mb block hotness!

I wonder how Gavin stabbing his our core devs in their backs will be priced into the market...

I have been hearing about the drop for the last couple of days but nothing is changing in the price index so I guess holding my Bitcoin is getting a bit of boring. Hope it doesn't arrive at all. Hope it remains the same.

"Prepare for the drop", "here comes the drop"... what are you, Skrillex? Gotta take a vacation from that FUDding man, it's almost june and weather is getting nice outside.

So can you explain that on what might have triggered it? The rumors have been going on for the past 3 to 4 days ago and yet again today we are hearing the same thing. It's getting pretty boring. And just to be fair if the price ever goes up again be sure to put out the same announcement like what you are doing right now

It is fairly simple. There is some drama about OKcoin, a Chinese exchange being potentially insolvent. A trader on bitfinex dumped a few thousand coins to try and induce a panic whilst also shorting a few thousand btc at the same time.

So far the market hasn't really followed through with any momentum selling because people consider 230 a not unreasonable price to buy at, especially given how far away the 1200 peak is right now.

Of course the type of bears who were calling for sub 1 dollar coins in 2011 are now calling for double digit coins in 2015.

Whatever happens, this forum has nothing to do with it, and the one spreading FUD right now will disappear by the time the price starts recovering again. Anyway, no one with half a brain wants the price to go up anytime time soon. 2015 is the stacking up year.

i hope it goes down. because i have some extra fiat money that i didn't know what to do with.
now i am waiting for an opportunity to convert it to bitcoin if the price was right.

but i am doubtful that this can happen, and i am going to have my orders left unfilled

What price are you talking about? $200?  $170  $150
Maybe even lower?

Seems sunny weather is also holding bitcoin buyers outside enjoying the sun and not buying bitcoins that are daily mined.

nah, this is the usual drop in the same boring range between 230 and 240, expect a raise when the whole Gavin drama will end

I don't recommend you to buy Bitcoin right now, just wait until this Gavin scandal pass.

You can invest a part on Alts: Litecoin for example.

you are right about pumps(Galvin thing + end of the month)

But I highly doubt prices will go lower than 220.

LOL, you advise some one to invest in shitcoins instead of Bitcoin? Go play in the altcoin section if you think that's the place to be.

litecoin is losing value to BTC and has pathetic trade volume.

If people panic because of BTC, will be worse for Litecoin and other alts.

They might be a good deal before a BTC pump, but still risky

Spot on. My chart predicted a drop as well. We might even see 220 before we go back up.

seriously Litecoin!?, the coin was abandoned a long time ago and when you look at the chart it only goes downward. Altcoins can be more dangerous than investing in BTC

i agree, as i said i am doubtful that drop happens. this is the same thing and the price is going to stay around $230 for some time now, unless any big news comes out from somewhere.
i think this an accumulation phase that is going to last long.

but to answer Febo's question i places some bids at a range of prices not just one fixed low price. this way i can buy if price falls down no matter how much.

It looks very stable and fine to me , It was basically like 230$ - 240$ the whole week . so I don't see why it would simply drop just like that . and right now it's 237$ (using preev.com rates) .  ???  ???

he want to fork the client anyway(for the transaction limit problem) and making a new chain(if the old one is kept), without the general consensus of the other four developers, which apparently have no real reasons to not agree with him

i don't know about Litecoin being the best but it has the second highest trade volume according to http://coinmarketcap.com
and also it attracted a lot of people but i think it is a dying coin and certainly not a good investment for long term.

you should stick to bitcoin for your majority of investment and if you want to buy altcoins too, try investing in a couple of them. but so far i found out that none of them are good for long term investment.

ahh, there are imho other aspects then pure market cap. such activity of community, social reach, activity of development or communications from developers to public..etc etc.

and because of this, I really don't think that litecoin is on "second" place anymore..

I never try to make bitcoin look bad. It's the community and economy that's messed up.

Yes, there are several big issues with bitcoin that need to be addressed and that also cause major distress, just look at current drama over the blocksize, this is one of the bigger reasons this week is going  bring us to new lows and a loooot of panic selling.
The fork won't destroy bitcoin but it will bring it down on its knees and we can just hope it will be able to crawl back up again.
