Hah, good luck doing my jobs with no creative thought process.

Never. If a machine does it, then it is not my job.

When machines take over all the jobs ion the world, people won't have any method for making money to pay for the things the machines make. Why not? Because they won't have any jobs. So, the machine companies will go under for not making any sales, and people will pick up the pieces and start making the products themselves again.

If you can program police robots to obey the constitutional rights of the people then we'd be in a better spot in the US. Yet, those in charge of the programming would have the state as their benefactor and likely, things in the policing community would remain the same or revert back to it at some point.

who gives a damn when company owners can lower their production costs and increase their profits. Increase unemployment here we come :)

My job is a series of decisions and interactions/negotiation/communication with other people.  It can be done by a machine if the interaction is no longer necessary, meaning if the interactions are done with other machines.  I think it'll be a long time before that happens though.

Isn't it better to leave those jobs for machines and find some other way for people to live? Maybe a different way to run society.

I guess a lot of jobs HAVE been automated during the last 50 years already... It's just a trend that will continue.

Honestly, it's a good thing in the long run and frees up a lot of time and effort on the part of employees, the only people who say it's a bad thing are the ones who refuse to adapt.

I don't think so.
I work in customer service, every day talking to customers and I am sure that when people wants to resolve their problems, they have desire to speak to another man and not a machine.
I don't think this will ever change.
Maybe machines can replace humans in very heavy physical work in mines and factories but again people will have to monitor machines.
So, I don't think that my job can be dome by a machine, no way.

People may want to talk to other people to resolve their problems. But if it is more profitable to use machines, that's what the company will do. Maybe some small market will be left for the problems machines can't solve yet. Or where people are willing to pay more for human contact. But that's all. And the jobs that become available to monitor, repair, etc the machines aren't as many as to do the actual work. Maybe other areas open up for people or maybe not.

My job will just change to programming the machines to do peoples' jobs.

Machine wars. When machines become intelligent enough to do all the human jobs, they will still have no conscience. We will have machine wars as they vie for the jobs among themselves.

I say, machine wars.

Or skillset. Many jobs that are just basic manual stuff will go eventually so people will need to start learning a trade or there's no hope.

Interesting video.  I think it really depends on when the technology will be cheap enough to hit the mainstream.  If most companies are making decisions from a profitability perspective, then when it makes sense financially, costs will be reduced significantly to the point that it may be difficult to compete without automation if the rest are doing it.

I think that when people want to have their problems solved, they just want to have it solved in as little time as possible, without having to wait for extended periods of time, and without having to call back in.

Customer service in the form of chat is becoming more popular as the wait times are far less, and you don't have to deal with an IVR or transfers.  I'm sure a small part of customer service requires dynamic problem solving, but the bulk of it is a step by step process, which could be automated without too much trouble.
