KnCMiner Deploys Next-Generation 16nm Bitcoin ASIC

Swedish mining hardware firm KnCMiner has deployed a new bitcoin ASIC it says will be a "game changer" for the industry.

First announced last November, the 16nm Solar is six times faster than the company's current 20nm design. Unlike conventional 'flat' chips, its components are stacked three-dimensionally to increase efficiency and processing speed.

I don't get this... They have massive shipping delays, miners shipped broken, with parts missing/broken, damaged shipping, they stop selling hardware to focus on cloud mining only and supposedly are on the red... But they get funding, develop new chips and it seems like they're willing to market it. What kind of image does this give to a company in a market? Certainly not a good one. I just hope nobody buys their chips. Many people made BFL relevant even after they screwed up big time. let's not make KNC relevant and allow them to screw us up even more.

As I understand it, we won't get the opportunity to buy their 16nm as they only will sell contracts on KnCCloud.com.
