So your question is is there a website or service where people can brag about what they bought using bitcoin? Isn't it a little useless to have place dedicated for that?
After all you can buy everything for bitcoin now. The better idea would be create ultimate catalogue of every service/shop where you can use bitcoin to pay for stuff.

You can actually buy many gift cards with bitcoin now. So you can virtually buy anything with bitcoin indirectly. If you want merchants who accpets bitcoin directly, the coindesk link in the post above is a good updated list.

Heh heh.  Ya.  I was delighted when the SomethingAwful folks were hanging around.  They had the same basic sense of humor I do...and the same basic reaction to the campy, happy sharing rainbow, show-and-tell, what-did-you-do-on-your-vacation stuff that infects a lot of the Bitcoiners.

I tried to tell some of the more clever SA folk that Bitcoin very well may be a low-cost-high-reward speculative play but none of those jackoffs would listen.  As far as I know of anyway.

I think this forum is a great place to start. It would be interesting if ebay accepted bitcoin or a site was created with the same idea.
