I mean, how is this going to work (http://cointelegraph.com/news/114449/bitfury-to-release-light-bulbs-that-mine-bitcoin-and-corporate-finance-is-get-into-crowdfunding?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=bitcointalk&utm_term=evg)?

Wind turbines?

Driving my car to work?

Can I get some mining in while out for my run?  Extra hashes for push-ups?  Mount a BitFury chip to my knife & fork at dinner?  Our fridge uses electricity, there's even a light bulb in there (two if you count the freezer).

Or to my TV while watching CNBS...?

LOLOL...   ::)

I think wind turbines have much more chance of mining BTC than the other things. We have ceiling fan in our houses. So that might be a good way to go.

I think that the only real use for this is as a space heater.  Otherwise it is a phenomenal waste of electricity.  We have energy problems in the world and we are wasting it with this nonsense.  It is a brilliant idea, don't get me wrong.  I just don't think it is very practical.

The best application for Bitcoin mining --> Central heating

Take away all heaters on the planet and replace them with small inexpensive mining rigs. If you have one in every room, you would be able to generate some Satoshi's and the by product {heat} could be used to warm the house.

I also see a good application in chicken farming in cooler areas. {Chickens are very susceptable to low temperatures, and they die quickly in week 1 to week 4} If these chicken farmers, join forces with Bitcoin mining farms, and they channel the heat to warm the chickens, they already saved some money and reduced their loss.

Or they can simply install these Bitcoin mining bulbs in the huge industrial farms. {For those of you, who do not know... The lights stays on 24/7 in a Chicken farm, to fool the chickens into laying more eggs and to grow them quicker}  ;)

what about those google glasses? they could be a nice tech for mining, but you need battery to power them

The next is definitely our toasters mining Bitcoin ;D

People say Google Glass gets a bit too warm sometimes in heavy usage. Bitcoin mining there would not only drain the battery in 5 minutes, but it would also make them unwearable :)

One can ever mine bitcoins with pen and paper.

More than that only if we can use animal or insects to mine Bitcoin

What about toilet bowl warmers or electric blankets? ^Ha ha ha^
Seriously, I would like to see these light bulbs in billboards and in street lights everywhere. Only problem with that might be the wireless access and the theft of these devices.
Vegas have enough lights to cover most of the worlds needs, when it comes to "Bitcoin" mining with light bulbs.
