Title: Multibit transactions: how do I see number of "Confirmations"
Post by: Hollingsworth on June 08, 2015, 05:05:11 AM
Hi Folks,

I just started using Multibit and really like the ease of use and quick syncing.

I've noticed that when I send a transaction, there are indicators that show how many peers have viewed, and it shows a status circle icon with ticks.

Question: does each tick in that circle icon represent 1 confirmation?  I looked in my multibit wallet's help section but doesn't clarify.

I know I can go to the blockchain explorer to verify confirmations, but wanted to see if I can accurately see in the Multibit wallet itself the actual number of confirmations.

Btw, am using Multibit 0.5.18 for Windows.

Thanks in advance.

H.

yup, youre right in assuming that. The "ticks" on the circle each represent 1 confirmation up to 6 confirmations. After 6 confirmations, the circle will change to a check mark to let you know the transaction has been properly confirmed by the network.

That's what I thought, thanks for clarifying.
