Title: Feedback and how it works
Post by: gravitate on June 08, 2015, 11:46:52 AM
I have noticed a person on here that is apparently a scammer and been named a scammer. Yet his trust feedback is empty. Why would this be? Is it because people are scared to receive negative feedback therefore stay away putting it for someone else?
Makes no sense to me.
Thanks

Probably the proof against them was inconclusive. You should post a scam accusation thread if you believe a scammer isn't given a negative trust.
You can also post his username here or request a trusted member to add the negative on their profile with the proof.

Can you post his profile link here? Did you gave him negative feedback?

No, he hasn't left a negative feedback to anyone https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=89189
why didn't you gravitate? "Is it because you are scared to receive negative feedback"?
the rest of the users didn't probably because they're not aware of any scam, you should let us all know.

When you find a person is a scammer, you should first leave him negative feedback and then open a scam accusation thread with any evidence you have to state.

"been named a scammer" please post this known scammer's profile link.

How do you know he is a scammer? It seems he only has positive feedback. Post some prove please.

As you say, most people are hesitant when it comes to leaving negative ratings. That's something perfectly reasonable though. If a user was called a scammer by someone, members of the forum not involved in this conflict don't really have a reason to give him negative trust. Unless the evidence against the alleged scammer is damning and his offence was serious he's likely to remain without a negative rating from a trusted member as soon as a scam accusation is posted against him.
