Title: CampBx
Post by: BKost on June 10, 2015, 02:31:06 AM
UPDATE:  I actually received the deposit into my account mere hours after making this thread, converted it to bitcoin, and withdrew it.

I've been using CampBx for a little over a year, never had a bad experience until now.  I didn't even know that other people were having problems until I began to look into it a few days ago.  I sent in about $400 in money orders by mail, it was delivered on June 3, 2015, it hasn't been credited to my account yet.  Usually it'd be available by the end of the next business day, worst case the day after that.  Support has been almost completely unresponsive, my ticket remains unanswered.  The only time I've been able to talk to anyone was in their live chat, and that person wouldn't say much.  They were unable to say where my money orders were, but said I should see the deposit next week (which is now this week).

are you referring to this site https://campbx.com?

If so the site is gone and you're scammed nothing to say but accept your losses. Seems just a little researching they've been getting problems since last year

Yeah, that's them, and that's pretty much the impression I'm getting.  I really never knew how bad their reputation was until a couple days ago.  Now I'm trying to decide if it's worth tracking the money orders to verify that they did indeed deposit them before ignoring me.  If I can get some proof that they stole my money, I'll file a police report, I'm not that far from where they operate.  I regularly travel to Atlanta anyway.

Any further updates on this?  Unfortunately I did not expect them to become so inept (or is it something else).  I've used them a year ago w/o issue.  But now they are not allowing me to move my coins.  They do not respond to questions on the 'help' desk site.  Guess I'll have to convert back to cash, withdraw and then send report to local and national BBB.

Any news on CampBX? I can't login to them for months to get my cents back.

It's surprising that I still see reports of people having business (and getting scammed) with them. I see Google indexing them and applications like Bitcoinium listing them. How do you log in to https://campbx.com ?

I tried to access them using Tor using different countries as exit nodes - no luck.

I have received a few coins out of my account the first week of November (last week), however, I am not having success with additional coin or cash transfer requests.

I am getting quite nervous now.  I have used campbx for the past couple of years without issue.
I allowed my confidence to grow and build quite a balance.  I will not accept losing those coins.
maybe they were overtaken by walkers - they are close to atlanta, GA you know...

ready to rumble if the need arises...

I sent them $2000 in MOs 11/10 (shame on me for not finding these threads first)

They have not been credited and no response on my tickets

Suggestions anyone?

I'm always impressed this classic exchange is practically closed but still there. :)

Update:
I have been s l o w l y getting my BTC out of the account.
I have to deal with a week or two of errors, but then 1 day or 2 days of successful BTC withdrawal (only $1000 per day).
After many weeks I have almost all my coins.
I have a small bit of cash that still needs converted.
I have submitted 2 different customer support tickets - don't know if that helped or not (I never received any response).
