Why sell a toxic asset if you think there's a chance it might be made good?

See the flip side of the coin.

He's looking for 10%... good luck with that.

See the flip side of the coin.

It's difficult for me to do so as I don't fall for grifters. I've tried to see it.

It's quite simple really. He thinks the expectation of retribution for his toxic asset is under 10% over the full number, but there might be something who thinks it's over 10%. A deal proposal like any other.

I understand that. What I don't understand is how people fell for 7% a week in the first place.

80BTC.
Serious offer.

Let me know.

Declined. Just to clarify, I am open to negotiation on price, but 1% is a lowball in anyone's book. Now if you threw in a goldfish on top then i might be interested  ;)

1% might sound harsh but depends on what you have to back up your claim. A signed lending contract with names, social security numbers and signatures? A photo Id of the debtor?
Or just a screenshot of a website and a forum nickname?

Clearly lowball eh? There is a reason 80BTC is the only offer you have recieved

Throw in the goldfish :D

Easy solution.  Take the 80BTC, send it to 1dice6wBxymYi3t94heUAG6MpG5eceLG1, you have a 9.1% chance of 10x your bet, that brings you up to 10% of this BS&T account which he will accept, then there is a __% percent chance that pirate pays up, then you get the 8254 BTC worth $92k right now, but if bitcoin hits $121.10 exchange rate eventually then you have a million dollars.  You're rich AnonX!  :D

I will give you 90 BTC.

I know you think that is lowball, but considering the circumstances it is all I am willing to risk.

I'm going to keep this thread open for another 24 hours from the time of this post. The highest bidder at that time will get the account. No bids will be accepted after the 24 hours has expired. I will be sending screenshots of my account to those who have asked for them.

Btw I should clarify what the purchaser will be receiving. They will receive:
- the login credentials to my BS&T account
- I will make a public post here acknowledging the sale of my account
- I will contact pirate privately and inform him of the sale of my account

Hi,

Just to notify you guys, Pirate has in the last couple hours reverted the balance of my BS&T account to the balance shown on 08/14/2012 - which is 6304.90. This was the date of his last interest payment. I haven't heard anything from him about this, but I presume he is doing this to try to reduce his liability. Whether the account is worth 8k+ or 6k+ or somewhere in between will be a matter to be resolved between pirate and the new purchaser. Please keep this in mind in your bidding. I will add the latest screenshot of the account to the dropbox folder.

Best regards

In light of this development right before the auction close I am going to extend the bidding for an extra hour, so it will now end at 1:32:39. This is to allow people some time to mull over the new info, and for any questions you may have.

Is the 90 BTC high still in effect?

I am waiting to hear back from Yochdog as to what he wants to do. At this point I think its best to extend the bidding till tomorrow, at the original time of 12:32:39 AM. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I will reset the bidding for now. Previous bidders can choose to reaffirm their bids if they wish.

Hey guys....I will reduce my bid to 70 BTC.....roughly the same percentage as the reduction in the value of the account.

thanks!

What was the actual original deposit(s) amount. How much is interest, and how much are "your" bitcoins?

My deposit and withdrawal history isn't something i'm willing to discuss on a public forum.
