Money has a very distinctive smell.  A really good smell.  "The smell of money" - even sounds cool.

Bitcoin doesn't smell like anything.  Totally sterile.  That sucks.  This is what I see as the major flaw of Bitcoin.

I love the smell of Bitcoin in the morning.

How do you explain the reduction in the use of cash now? Everybody uses credit and debit cards, those smell sterile too.

You can also print some paper wallets and smell on them ;) With the right printer you could also print them on the same paper as USD :D

You also need to print on cotton paper then to get the really specific smell and feel to it. Else it won't be real enough.

Credit card's dont have any particular smell, yet they managed to became a sign of wealth and high status. We don't need the smell fetish. I don't see anyone rejecting credit card or paypal payments becuase the lack an essence.

In the United States allowed to print advertisements on the dollar? In our country, "not prohibited". But no one does. Advertising money is a good idea.

Money is filthy, think how many hands it has passed through. It only smells good because it is associated with wealth.

Fiat money gains its smell from the hands it went through and it's usually not one of its basic characteristics. Bitcoin can be printed on paper and can be passed to different people, and thus gaining "smell."

when the price goes to the moon you can have "moon smell" on your bitcoins and that is the best smell in the world.

Why would you want money to smell? That means that it has passed through so many dirty hands, pockets, and who knows what. With Bitcoin, you don't need to touch it at all. It doesn't get nasty little germs that could kill me, and I like my money to be sterile. No germs for me.

Really, that's odd, because everytime I smell a PCB about to burn out or an overheated video card I think of Bitcoin.

I think bitcoin has computer hardware scent. I imagine it is the same as you buy new PC and its smells for some time with really nice 'new parts' scent for a little. That is a bitcoin scent for me.

Get a 1oz silver bitcoin made and it would smell like silver. Ofcourse bitcoin won't show you any promises. I mean just enjoy the flow of the bitcoin current. Ride on its high tide prices and drown on its down lows. I don't know for sure if bitcoin would still be a hit in the next 10-15 years or so but for now, let's just enjoy it.

To be fair, money smells like dirty clothes, so I'm glad Bitcoin is odorless.

But you forget, bitcoin also lacks stripper juice, booger, pizza stains, and any number of other nasty things that can typically be found on your favorite fiat.  I guess there is a trade off to be considered.

this is actually a major flaw for cocaine users. These people require a currency that also works as paraphernalia for their drug use. Someone needs to modify the Trezor.

A paper wallet somewhat replaces the smell of cash.
Our cash is all plastice here anyway so not heaps of difference in our cash to a laminated paper wallet.

Well, one thing we got to understand is that bitcoin is just another form of money. A lot of the times that's not our first knowledge of bitcoin when we use it, but it's simply a more easier and digital money. I understand what you mean when you say you can't "smell" bitcoin, because not many consume or use it. It's just a matter of time before bitocoin goes bigger into the society where people are going to encounter bitcoin and have it just like a regular currency.

It's true that the lack of phisycal money  is something different from fiat and difficult to assimilate for normal people, but I think bitcoin has a bunch of advantages over fiat
