I have just published a book that details in depth how to design and manufacture your own coins (or physical crypto wallet)!

I'm really excited to present this as the target market that inspired the book are largely based in these forums. I have tried to make it as straightforward as possible without being condescending and I really believe that the information contained will help anyone starting out (or maybe those already started) with the lengthy and sometimes isolated process of making their own awesome coins.
A little more detail: I have had many messages asking about how my coins were made and the techniques used. So in response I have written extensively on every part of my work process and standardised it into chapters that quickly bring all the relevant information and skills together and show how anyone can create fun and interesting coins themselves!

Does it cover generating private keys and coin assembly?
I've already assembled most my coins so it's a bit late for me now..

Hi AT101ET- thanks for the interest. It does not cover key generation itself, I felt that was outside the realm of creating a physical coin. What it does cover is information on security holograms which obviously can be an integral part of any physical wallet (and hiding the generated keys).

There's also been quite a few requests for a pdf- the formatting from html to pdf is really ugly, so that will need sorting. I'll look into distribution too if I don't do it manually on the forum!

Yeah I know what you're saying pdf can be a pain. Btw was only joking about the evaluation copy I'd be more than happy to buy one :).

Hi Cracked, thanks for the post. I've just about finished formatting the book for print so in theory I should have a pdf available to distribute too. I believe I can do this through Lulu, so I might be able to do this alongside my print edition!

I hope my previous post gives you some hope. I spent a few hours sorting out the layout for print/pdf.

Hey guys, it's looking more and more like I will be making the pdf available directly since there is more demand for this format- the converting isn't finished but it's going quicker than I expected- just need to double check the layout. So the pdf will probably be available at the same time as the print edition as they are essentially the same thing in terms of file.

What verification process do you mean? I touch on dimensions and measurements, communicating specifics of materials and aesthetics to manufacturers and I also write a little about indicating purity of precious metals. If you mean the due diligence and checkboxes you need to tick for a coin project- then yes it does. But this can be relative. I have written in depth about my processes, you can use the same or modify them as you see fit!

For striking coins at home there are some tutorials online, the quality of coins made like this tend to be very basic and not very professional. This book covers designing and using a manufacturer to create your coins.

Bought this ebook guide from OP, replies and transaction was instant. The ebook is pretty detailed and provides detailed content understandable to even a person who may not understand cryptocurrency at all. Nicely structured and detailed, will be finishing reading it shortly.

I bought the PDF copy from bigtimespaghetti, and so far, the book is well written and definitely newbie-friendly. (I would know, since I'm definitely a newbie in coin making! :) ) It's well explained in a non-boring way; it's not like a textbook on coin making, it's almost like a peer teaching you and someone wrote the dialogue down.

For the coin designing, he specifies many different options in case you can't do a few of them, and explains each one in great detail. bigtimespaghetti also explains pretty much all terms that most people wouldn't know.

Great book, A++, and I would definitely recommend buying this book (even if it's just for further knowledge!).

There are some minor differences- but they are essentially the same. PDF it is :)

The gold plating is actual gold, but the process used means the coating is so thin that it's perfectly affordable for small projects. I'll pop you a PM :)

Not much design in the PDF. Although everything looks very nice and organized :)

Ease of reading: 5/5
Very easy to read. Every step is split in chapters. Didn't use any words that you need to look up

I was recently accused of trust farming with my eBook. During reading through the accusations it cleared up some misconceptions I had with the trust system.

I will be removing positive trust for just copies of my eBook for some (not all) of the trades. As some purchases were people I would consider trustworthy or have had communications with.

So apologies in advance to any customers that will have the positive feedback neutralised. It just seems an abuse of the trust system to give positive feedback for a trade of BTC0.0301.

Also, anyone who agreed to write a review under the honour system and did not with the discount purchase will have the trust feedback removed entirely.

Buy it if you're an artsy person and like the visual part of life. You can probably make some money re-selling ones you make (alot more than 0.05 :D). You got my vouch.

Just purchased this ebook and I must say it's very well written, and the list of sites and resources alone was worth the price.
