And you ???

I'm holding some forever you'd be crazy not to once we start hitting the many thousands.  Selling at any given price also depends on the reaction to bitcoin in society once we start going up in price.  Bitcoin has the potential to go up to 5 figures with some decent adoption.

Second to this. I use Bitcoin mainly because I dont have PayPal and I want to earn some money online. So... I will never sell my Bitcoin for cash. I will only use my Bitcoin to purchase items online such as hosting and domains.

thank you very much for your activities with bitcoin. if most people use btc as a currency [not only buy/sell] & purchase goods or services then bitcoin will become a true currency, not a slave of fiat  ;)

Why is there no option for less than 300. I just sold half of what I have yesterday . I don't think we will go much higher now. This is the end of the line

For now I'm holding most bitcoin and wait until it increase from average value. Bitcoin still have the future so I'm having faith on it

Yes agree. I want Bitcoin to be a true currency of it own. I do buy and sell Bitcoin sometime. However, I only do that to increase my Bitcoin amount. Sell high and buy low. Unlike others, they buy low and sell high. :).

I would like if there's an option of $300. I don't think price gonna reach $450 soon. I would sell my BTC even if it reaches $300+ in near future.

$850 for me , and that's not gonna happen on the near future of course , wondering how old people are (the one who choosed 3000$ or over it) you may gonna wait long long time for that price .
I will take my chances and say that the price will go over 850$ on the end of 2020 when the next Halving block reward happens (I know there is another one on 2016 but that's not going to make it that high )

So, i just wait & see

Same I would only sell if I had no use for it which I don't think will ever happen because a) I don't hold too many bitcoins in the first place and b) I don't think I'll ever stop gambling online and bitcoin is so very easy to bet and receive back without any need of third party payment instruments, same goes for shopping for digital goods.

I do not have a set selling price, but I would be tempted to sell around $1000 to $2000. On that price, I would have made a pretty good profit on the coins I have bought and I would rub it under the noses of the people who laughed at me, when I bought it.
I would keep some, just for the small chance that it might go to the moon. $10 000 to $100 000. ^Hope^
Selling every coin at a high price, would be stupid.

Thats a very good idea if you want to stay away from tax its something i will be considering.  Problem will be if it goes very high in price its difficult to spend such high amounts and if you hold for too long maybe the price can drop.

I don't plan on selling, I aim to be able to buy property with my btc many years down the line. I have many investments but Bitcoin is the one that excites me the most.

I have already sold most of my coins, as some of my loans were due. Had to offload around 70% of my holdings. Right now, I am having just around 6-7 coins. If an emergency arises, I'll be forced to sell them, at whatever price which I can manage. If there is no need to do so, then I'd like to hold them for at least 10 more years.

I might sell a fraction of my stash if we go beyond $1000 but definitely not the whole thing. Things are starting to look very promising for Bitcoin and I think it would be a mistake to just dump without looking back. The only temptation if it gets past $1000 (if it's a hype spike instead of a gradual solid increase) is to try and make money by selling high and buying low.

BTW guys, we've passed $251 on Bitstamp Yay!!!  8)

A rule of thumb is to sell 10% when price rose 10x, and sell 1% when price rose 100x, so you basically will ROI, then ride the wave with rest of the coins

or maybe at $350 is good enough. being optimistic all the time that bitcoin will rise to 1k is just a hope.

Good luck trying to sell your bitcoins above the 200-300 dollar level, that ain't never gonna happen, u know why? Because nobody wants to buy 0.5 bitcoin,

Have you ever heard of a modest operation named Berkshire Hathaway? One little old share in that costs over $200,000. It has a market cap of 343 billion dollars. Crazily enough, people still buy one every now and then.

I don't ever plan to sell, just spend. If I can't buy what I want with it in a few years then maybe it's not going as well as it should be.

Personally, I would rather never sell my bitcoin. And I probably never will. I will, however, exchange some of them for some goods. Then I'm going to sell those goods to a few friends, and buy bitcoins back, at about 2% profit. I'm going to slowly inch my way up to 1BTC. So, that should be... two years from now.

They're imports. Stuff you cant really find here. I'm able to get a friend (for example) a wearable majora's mask, and I get $5 out of it. We both end up happy. Action figures, comics, etc. Those are things that they want, but there is no formal market of. I'm just filling a void big businesses are too afraid to come fill.

i will never sell all my bitcoins no matter what the price is. that is for sure.

but i plan to sell some if the price goes past $400 since i bought a lot of my stash back when it was as low as  $200 and that would be a nice profit for me.

and if the price goes as high as $1000 i would sell more of my stash for the bigger profit, but even then i am going to hold some of it since i like and believe in bitcoin's future.

If I sell my Bitcoin it'd be to purchase property/homes, and the value would have to be in the 4+ digits. Hopefully at that point the future will give us pricing of everything in btc also, so I never have to sell, just trade btc for the items I want directly.

Yeah, go ahead and pretend you know how people thousands of miles away from you interact and feel about each other. Pretend you know the situation. I spend time and money getting imports, it's not bad to scratch a small profit. Are you implying bakers cant sell bread to their friends? Store owners cannot sell to their friends? Nobody can ever sell anything (at a profit) to people they like, huh? No selling cars to friends, etc. etc.

You don't sell bitcoins. You spend them.

The loan voice of reason. Bitcoin is suppose to be a currency, not a gambling instrument.

People gamble with currencies all of the time.

That doesn't mean they should.

Are you trying to play God?

No. I'm just giving my opinion on the matter, and my opinion is that people shouldn't gamble with currency. Whether they actually do is something entirely different.

yes of course, very difficult to get good luck, if you're really wanted, but sometimes it's luck that approached us, like when we bitcoin prices at a high level, and someone bought it. it was very fortunate friend

so you want to get out of this as soon as possible

aren't you fascinating by the probability that one day bitcoin, will surpass fiat, and free us from their scam?

i think at some point bitcoin's price is just testing those that are not here for its technology, but just for its enemies, which are Fiat currencies

I don't have a set price to when I plan to sell as I trade quite frequently when the volume is high enough. This is for my trading coins.

Regarding the coins in my cold wallets, I will hold 50% of them for ever, just to see what happens. The other 50% will get sold if price reaches at least $2000.

Gotta know when to hodl and know NOT TO FODL!

Long haul, for me at least, I have not intention of liquidating everything soon. Transactions not withstanding of course.

I`d sell it at 450, only because I wouldnt know when a huge price peak would happen.

It usually goes within a short frame of time though if it jumped based a new orders coming in though like that manipulated mt.gox event.

I`d sell some off, depending on the events occur.

everything is a situational point, so if people see good news on reddit happening id prob hold the same way.

For me I`d be comfortable if I let got at $1k. But, thats if I had magical powers to see the future and buy back when its cheap.

Its harder to predict to see if it`ll incline rather then decline imo.

Since I bought btc when they were 850 in part and 630 in part, I will sell when btc hit 850 at worst. I don't want to lose.

I mention this because I have experienced this situation in uptrend..

Haha I would've been very happy if I sold over $500.
