New to this. I tried mining with cpu until someone told me about gpu beeing better at this. So I got cgminer, configured the .bat file and added some extra flag values. Now the hashing speed is constant around 10 Mhash/sec. Still, I think it's pretty worthless to keep the laptop on for this. My question is, should I give it a try on Linux before quit trying with this hardware configuration ? Is there chance to see improvement on the other operating system? Thank you. You probably won't get any better results switching to linux, tho. You said you're on a laptop...is this a 4570m?

It does better than CG Miner on this low end GPU. But neither GPU is really worth mining with. Fun to tinker with and good for getting some experience though. Sam |
