Title: Cryptoplace is Officially Live! Bitcoin Service Reviews (Casinos, Dice, etc.)
Post by: ranlo on June 18, 2015, 03:19:11 AM
Cryptoplace is Alive! (http://cryptoplace.net)

After a while of trying to decide what to do with Cryptoplace (some of you are undoubtedly familiar with my faucet rotator (http://faucets.cryptoplace.net)), it has found its meaning! It has been designed to be a sort of database of different Bitcoin services. Rather than just having the name/URL, however, it also gives meaningful/useful stats. Essentially, each service covered has its own page, which will be fleshed out over time. This will ensure that the data is always up-to-date. And to see when the site's last update was, simply check out the homepage -- after each update to the site, I reset the date.

As always, I'm completely up for requests/comments/suggestions. I added some services over the past day, and will continue to do so. I'm trying to work from the top and continue down (i.e., most popular sites first).

Check out the page right here! (http://cryptoplace.net)

Great site. I wish you luck with your service.

Thanks! I'm taking it a little slow ATM, evaluating each site before it's added. The goal is to get the most reputable sites on it, and then keep the list pruned (i.e. as a site goes offline/turns questionable, it will be flagged in the list as such). So it's not just going to be a list of services *today*, but also a sort of historical list, if that makes any sense.

Added [Guide] How to Win On Rollin.io (http://cryptoplace.net/bitcoin-articles/how-to-win-on-rollin-io-guide)!

Isn't that a bit misleading. Basically since it describes the levels it doesn't mean winning. To get the maximum amount of faucet it requires us to have wagered 2K BTC from the table, and there is no way you will get to that level just from your faucet claims and rolling that at 98%. Even though you might get to Level 3 or 4 in a couple of days, but that faucet amount wouldn't be enough to win.

Technically, if you've cashed out once from the faucet, you've won. I've hit the 1mBTC minimum a couple times just martingaling the original 0.005 BTC. So building up from there shouldn't be hard. Is there luck? Sure. But it's not hard, and it's a hell of a lot more profitable than the faucets are. Plus the captcha is easy to do (no typing/crappy letters).

It's also a lot easier to hit the minimum with each level you go up. Even the 0.02 makes it a lot easier.

I could have made a LOT last night if I was betting more. I hit 00 a total of 4x in a 5-10m period. 00 on a 1% bet would result in 99x earnings. Not really related to this but interesting situation.

Edit: in response to your post, I altered the name of the article and hyperlink here to clarify that it's for the faucet.

Is it? Can you please give a reference to a verified source? If so, I'll definitely flag it as such on the site.

As to the famous sites, I actually have a decently-large list of them in the pending area. I've just been really inundated with things lately and haven't had the chance to get them knocked out yet. Thanks for the recommendations, though, and I've put them at a higher priority on the list as a result, :).

Potential scam is definitely a bit different from actually being one. That said, I like to reserve judgment, but based on the posts, what I'll do is de-rank it (not flag). I'll be adding metrics to the site once I roll out v2.0 (after the build-out, this will be a major overhaul) that will take into consideration trust factors and will help rank based on trust levels and other criteria. For now, I'll have to do it manually.

Thanks for your report, though. I really appreciate it, and anyone else reading this, please feel free to be vocal -- I can only do so much on my own and there's a lot of shifting going on in the crypto realm on a constant basis, so getting a heads-up about these things is extremely valuable to help protect users.

It's a bit annoying that it opens certain in-site links in a new tab.
Otherwise, it's a pretty nice website.

I did that on purpose so visitors aren't always having to click "back" to get to other pages. I'd love to hear thoughts on this from other visitors, though!

Thanks! It's a side project at the moment. My plan is to get most sites up on it, then expand the site from there (new theme, more data, etc. to help players pick the sites that match them best).

*Altered sections to show flagged sites with warnings (check it out here! (http://cryptoplace.net/bitcoin-services/online-bitcoin-wallets))
*Flagged first service (HaoBTC (http://cryptoplace.net/bitcoin-services/online-bitcoin-wallets/haobtc-review)), an online wallet, due to making phantom changes with no notice

I'd love to hear your thoughts on how I set those up. Are they clear enough? The idea is that I won't delete anything from the site, but rather organize sites based on their trustworthiness as we go forward.

Seems good, site's building up everyday. I would like to see some more sites up in the wallet section tho, maybe you are adding them up here they are 2 of them anyways:
1) Xapo
2) Blockchain
BTW maybe put a warning of a kind like "Beware you don't control your money here" something like that at online wallets that dont give you the private keys of your addresses, for ex. coinbase.

Good idea for an addition (the beware), and I'll definitely get those two added as well. I will be making a note for Blockchain.info, however, as they experience abnormal amounts of DDoSing and such, spending a lot of time offline (which may not work for some users).

Thanks for your input! I do want to say that it will likely be a few days before I can get around to this. I'm extremely busy in the very near future, :). Will update as soon as I do get them on, though!
