Title: Monstercat + Bitcoin
Post by: CrackedLogic on June 18, 2015, 07:06:43 PM
I was looking for their contact page in their footer and I noticed a "Bitcoin" redirect. I know that this is 2 years old but I've never noticed it before and a quick from search of "Monstercat Bitcoin" shows that there isn't any news related to that here. Being a fan of the label,I'd like to share it with you guys.
At the time of posting this their store seems to be down. But I'll leave a few other articles as well.

The Monstercat Bitcoin Store has been temporarily closed. We plan on improving the store sometime soon. Enter your email here if you would like to be notified when its available:
It doesn't seem as if they're giving it much attention, I presume it's been down for quite a while. When I entered my email it also returned an error, I doubt that they are giving it any attention at all unfortunately.

They have some nice names there, but unfortunately for them, they somehow managed to put Krewella first in their artist page... ;D

Speaking more seriously, I hope they open their Bitcoin store again. If music websites like Beatport or labels accepted Bitcoin, I'd buy quite a lot more music than I do right now.

I have never heard of this can anyone tell me what they did?

A Bitcoin record label sounds interesting.

Claiming that you do buy music I see? ;)

They're a record label that specializes in EDM. They're quite the size on YouTube, also a quite a bunch of gamers use their music. They mostly appeal to teens and young adults.
I recommend checking them out if you like EDM.

They do mostly dubstep, house, stuff like that.

Yeah it would be great that Beatport accepted BTC. I would also love to see soundcloud accepting BTC donations, so you can donate on tracks you like.

if anything, id rather be able to tip/pay their artists in bitcoin, not a big fan of the merchandise, but their artists really deserve more credit for their work.

Having the label introducing Bitcoin to the public, they would have introduced it to some of the producers. Majority of them probably have their wallets and keys set up however they just won't use it.
