Title: BlueSteel - BLUS - X11
Post by: BlueSteel on June 20, 2015, 10:40:24 AM
BlueSteel is a strong stable cryptocurrency codebase for use with online sites, money transfers, gambling, and anything the greater community would like to use it for.  The code itself provides no new innovations except for being solid working code that doesn't break.

With many unstable "one day" cryptos on the markets that do nothing but fail, crash, and stop working, the members of the BlueSteel team look to provide a coin with a solid codebase and a great support team.

Development and Roadmap progression will be released after we have talked to miners and speculators about features and other add-ons people in the community would like to see.

You have to compile several times, a few includes are missing but will be built on the fly. Just do make several times

Sorry about this, it is known by the coder and we thought we had pushed the fix. I will ensure we push it when the coder returns.

How can you deliver code that isn't tested? It cannot be so difficult.

make install

or nmake -f makefile.nt

or whatever :)

so is it same trouble like with the other X11 launch today? @ocminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1092273.60

It says then it is same dev or group, launching two coins on same day.  ;D

Like, what, maybe one will make it and we will dump? ;D

Guess then, both will be runaways.

The OP says BlueSteel has a strong stable cryptocurrency codebase, and yet there are problems compiling it at launch. It doesn't sound very strong or stable to me. It should work flawlessly in all respects if it's claimed to be strong and stable code.

I was looking for the min stake age since we past 500th block.

It is:

Code:
unsigned int nStakeMinAge = 60 * 60 * 6; // 6 hours

If anyone wonders.

Not sure I understand what you mean? Are you talking about the algorithm? Or do you mean is the code cloned from another, previous, coin?
If it is the Algorithm, X11 has been around a while. Or, should I say, a while in mining terms.

It is funny to watch everyone dump way way below mining cost.  We haven't even told you what we have planned for the coin yet. All i am going to say for now is that dumping under 100 satoshis is going to bring you great pain.

I am holding, but I would only agree with that statement if I saw a ton of volume.
0.06 btc volume is a joke, and if you believed in your coin, you would be buying it
up hand over fist at these prices.

0.06 btc volume is a joke, and if you believed in your coin, you would be buying it
up hand over fist at these prices.

Coming from someone who charges people to promote coins gives your opinion less weight than the rest of the community. Why would i artificially boost the price? Why would i manipulate my own coin? To make you money? To let you dump on it? I don't think so.
If you like the coin feel free to keep mining or go to Yobit and buy some. If you don't like the coin then sell it and move along. Pretty simple, we don't have promoters or whales to pump and dump our coin because we don't care to pay people like you to mess our coin up and kill it in a week.

The price is what it is and you can either live with it and hold or dump. Our volume is not a joke it's legitimate, real, non-manipulated volume. If anything in this thread or the crypto world in general is a joke it is so called "promoters" like you.

It is funny to watch everyone dump way way below mining cost.  We haven't even told you what we have planned for the coin yet. All i am going to say for now is that dumping under 100 satoshis is going to bring you great pain.

I am holding, but I would only agree with that statement if I saw a ton of volume.

We are working on the roadmap right now and need to check with a few people ands sites to see if our idea is do-able. Expect roadmap release in the next 48 to 60 hours.

Ok so for the very time now I lost all coins due to some weird error: the wallet didn't synch anymore and I deleted everything except wallet.dat. I also made a copy of that wallet.dat file. When I launched the client again, it didn't start and it told me that the wallet.dat file is damaged and turned the file into a "number".bak file.
I tried to install everything again and put the wallet.dat into that folder. It is now a zero balance. Interesting... I did it several times now to check whether I am doing something wrong, but as I said, never ever had that problem before.

Ok I tried to google the problem. In some threads it says that your walt.dat gets corrupted when you make a copy of it while the client is running. It's actually the first time this error popped up on my screen and I definitely copied wallet.dat files from running clients before. The coins are lost. Enjoy that lower coin supply! :)

That is an odd problem.  The Wallet.dat if not corrupted should work fine with a reloaded wallet. You can try salvaging the wallet if that helps.

Well, I am somehow left with all those wallet.dat files that turned into a ".bak" file. Reading through those threads dealing with that exact problem, the coins are very likely lost. Really an odd problem as it never happened to me before. Some people say that it happens when you create a copy of your wallet.dat while the client is running... I have no clue, I just know that my coins are gone >.<

So you did not copy your Wallet.dat to a backup location?  You should always store a copy of your Wallet.dat in a safe location (like a USB stick)

i think u can salvage as long as info is in 1 of the them bak or dat files. too many instances of are running at same time which gives confusion
stop wallet running process delete all the bak untill u are left with just Wallet.dat
make sure Wallet.dat got your info if it hasnt look at all the bak 1s find the right 1 with info delete rest and rename the bak to just Wallet.dat restart wallet then back him up asap
leave 1 Wallet.dat get rid of all them bak

Title: Re: BlueSteel - BLUS - X11
Post by: mv1986 on June 23, 2015, 09:33:35 PM
Nono, I made a copy of that wallet.dat. But I did it while the client was running and when you go through those threads dealing with the problem, you'll see what I am talking about. My wallet got out of synch so I made a copy of my wallet.dat while the client was running, closed it, deleted everything and it the wallet.dat turned into a .bak file. Then I tried my wallet.dat copy and the same happened. I am only left with .bak files as I put my wallet.dat copy into the Bluesteel folder without making a copy of it... But I don't think it would have mattered anyway because of this completely weird bug.

So if anyone knows how to get something out of a .bak file, let me know. I got two of them -.-

I think most miner's ROI would be around the 100 satoshi range.

This coin needs more attention, i hold about 20% of the supply, so i`m looking for a nice ride up.

I wont sell the coins, dont worry, until it hits atleast 500 satoshi, so you guys can buy it easily :)

idk he is on which project and if he is sincere with this coin thn one has to show up NOW in the thread. i look at trading on Yobit seems someone is planning a big for this coin soon. heavy purchases had been done for the coin. something is cooking up in background

Since there has been zero communication from the dev recently, and very little volume on yobit, I doubt any other exchange will list this coin right now.

Last post from the dev was June 22nd telling us that the roadmap would be posted in 24-48 hours...which never happened.
