Title: Maximum concurrent requests... @Blockchain.info
Post by: twister on June 22, 2015, 04:20:23 PM
Any body else getting this error? I am getting this a lot today, it pops up whenever I try to view a Transaction or balance of an address.  :-\

Does anyone uses it's wallet, is it same with that too or is it just the block explorer??

It comes and goes, it's quite annoying, I am too used to viewing this block explorer and hate going to the others, which are quite bulky.

I have had that error in the past. Today there is a stress test of the Bitcoin network. Someone is spamming it with transactions to see if it can cope when overloaded. That might have something to do with today's maximum concurrent requests error.

That could be it and that's a very informative thread, thanks for linking it here.

I'm getting it too.
Don't know if they are being ddosed or if it is another bug of them,

Just use another blockexplorer and you'll be fine, I think

...

I too have had that error from time-to-time at blockchain.info.  I do have a wallet there, but have gotten the error both checking wallet balance as well as normal blockchain observation.  In particular, I used to get that error (or another) when using their "Taint Analysis" tool, but recently I have received that error less often.

Hmm, the blockchain stress test may explain some of today's errors.

Looks like a rate-limiting issue. You may have to contact their support team with the details of the error.

It's pretty common with blockchain.info.  I see this response most frequently when using their API. I wouldn't be surprised if it was from the stress test, more people are watching addresses and transactions to see when they will get confirmed.

Fortunately there are many block explorers on the Internet. I also encountered this when I'm requesting a loan yesterday, and it makes me can't confirm the loan instantly. So I used another block explorer and so to confirm the loan. This feature (of blockchain.info) was intended to prevent spamming, however it causes inconvenience to us :( Hopw they can increase the maximum concurrent request per endpoint.
