  Am new here and i need help in keeping bitcoin

first answer me there:
1) how much bitcoin do you have? (no need to give number, is it large amount or like faucet payouts that you gathered)
2) what do you plan to do with them?

determining these two can make you choose from paper wallet to an online wallet.

Why do you create a poll here? It seems you want to ask the two questions how and where to keep your bitcoin. Even you are new here, you alway can learn a lot from internet source by google it. When you have questions, come here and give your specific questions. Many ppl here are happy to help!

It depends on how much you plan to have.  If you have a small amount, like less than $20 worth, then I wouldn't even bother with anything special, just grab electrum and have at it.

If you are having a medium amount, maybe something like 50-200$, then look at ledger's cheap hardware wallet.  It is supposed to be good, maybe not as good as a trezor but it is also much cheaper, 15$ vs 100$.

If you have more , such as 200-thousands then you should get the best and most secure hardware wallet currently out there.  AFAIK this is the trezor but I didn't really research it much.

As others say you can make a paper wallet, but this makes me nervous because I lose things easy.

you can keep your bitcoin on bitcoin core wallet and back up it to your local storage or you can back up to paper wallet

it's pretty simple, store them in a cold storage(something that it isn't online ever, until you need to use them, at that point you can connect to a formatted cpu, or a dedicated one for btc)

so just put the wallet.dat there and you're done

you can simple store them in paper wallet if you don't want to access them for long periods, but if you want to use daily then you can store in bitcoin desktop wallet, don't use online wallets or exchange to store your coins

i have alternative, keep on big and trusted exchanger like bitsamp you can trade a=it and keep secure your bitcoin at exchange

I would recommend using a lightweight wallet like Electrum if you don't want to download the 30 GB blockchain:

Alternatively, you could try MultiBit which works in a similar way:

If you want to contribute to the network by running your own node and don't mind downloading the 30 GB blockchain file then you could try the Bitcoin Core client:

I wouldn't recommend keeping large amounts of BTC on an exchange.

Mt. Gox was once the largest exchange in the world at one point and those who trusted it and used it as their personal web wallet ended up losing all of their coins when it collapsed in early 2014. Many exchanges have been hacked or had their owners run off with their users' funds in the past. I'm not saying that Bitstamp will end up the same way but no exchange is immune and they have been hacked in the past too (which they seem to have successfully recovered from).

Even if you're into day trading and therefore you have no option but to store your coins at an exchange, I would still recommend withdrawing your coins after you're done trading.

And of course, keeping the majority of your savings in the form of cold storage such as an offline computer, a hardware wallet, or a paper wallet is always a good idea as this is usually considered to be the safest option.

Best bet would be Multibit, easy desktop client. Never keep your coins online (only change if u must).
To store larger amounts use paper wallet.

first of all, whats the poll for, it doesnt give any information. secondly i would choose blockchain.info, as you dont have to keep anything on your pc with it and everything is on the internet

While Blockchain.info is currently the only online wallet that lets you have control of your own private keys, they have had a few incidents in the past where users either lost coins or came very close to losing coins. Their most recent incident happened just over a week ago which affected a subset of users of their Android app who were running older versions of Android and perhaps more importantly, exposed some pretty sloppy coding practices on their part:

I'd probably still consider them to be better than your typical online wallet based on the fact that you'd still have access to your coins even if they were to suddenly shut down but after seeing what happened recently, I'd be wary of keeping anything more than a couple of BTC in there.

Paper wallet is the way to go. It's costs nothing and as long as you do it offline your coins will be safe forever. Check out bitaddress.org - you can save the page and generate paper wallets safely offline.

You're asking about 'keeping' your Bitcoin. So I'm assuming you have already purchased your Bitcoins.

In this case, how did you acquire them? If you used some exchange like Coinbase / BitStamp etc., you should install a desktop wallet and transfer yuor coins to your computer rather than leaving them on exchange.

Since you are new and still learning, I would suggest you try Multibit or electrum. Both are easy to use wallet. Moreover they're 'lite' clients that do not need the whole block chain downloaded in order to function well.

I would say greenaddress.it would be a much secure choice. Considering that blockchain.info identifier is also quite long, you can switch to greenaddress.it and use their memoric. They also create 2of2 multi sig addresses and allows you to set a limit. They will send a nlocktime file for you to redeem your transaction when it expires. It is quite secure too.

I'm prefer blockchain because it was easy to set up and it has simple interface so it means that when you'll got expert in haste once you take a look on it. But blockchain is online wallet and being online it's mean that someday it will be offline too. So try to have some research thorugh this forum or other site about offline wallet

Blockchain.info unlike other online wallets allow you to control your private keys by yourself. They will send you a backup file and you can use that backup file to send your Bitcoins to another wallet. Same goes to greenaddress.it but they take a different approach. I still won't recommend anyone to use blockchain.info nevertheless.

By "here" I assume you mean planet Earth.  As to the bitcoin part of your dilemma, well, I am totally confused as to what you're asking.  I've no idea.  Perhaps you shouldn't venture into cryptocurrency as it can be confusing and requires a bit of brains to comprehend and can easily be lost forever.  Which you'd probably do.  I do take donations for evil purposes, so if you'd like to send a few satoshis my way, please check my signature or profile for the address.

it is bitcoin wallet (bitcoin address and private keys) on a piece of paper. it is a safe way to store your bitcoin offline.

as long as you are doing it offline, and doing it with the correct code which you download from a secure and trusted source or review the code yourself i think it can be safe.

and if you are only sweeping the keys at the time of usage then you are fine using blockchain.info
