Title: Nxt Marketplace & Freemarket - two decentralized ecommerce
Post by: barbierir on June 23, 2015, 03:29:41 PM
The decentralized store Marketplace (http://nxt.org/about/marketplace/) is a core feature of Nxt (http://nxt.org), unlike OpenBazaar all informations are stored encrypted in the blockchain and you don't need to stay online to sell items. Here are some screenshots:

For the time being Nxt has few privacy options but coin-shuffling should be available in next version

Freemarket (http://nxtfreemarket.com/) is another marketplace based on the Nxt blockchain but it's a third party app and not part of the core features. The next version should have an escrow system called Concorde (https://nxtforum.org/freemarket/ann-concorde/) that is now in testing. It's also one of the projects that will be integrated in the superNet (http://supernet.org/).

Thanks for sketching out both services. The services are completely decentralized and with upcoming smart contract feature on Nxt framework they will probably become full stack ecommerce options.

would be a killer app if it integrated shapeshift.io as a payment feature... then it will be a truly decentralized marketplace...

Yes but from the superNet slack (https://forum.thesupernet.org/index.php?board=46.0) I read that one of the next features of Freemarket will be coinUSD (http://coinomat.com) payments ;D

Quote
[07:19] <blackyblack> coinomat: do you have an API for buying coinoUSD with NXT/BTC?
[07:29] <coinomat> actually yes,  what would you like to do with it?
[07:29] <blackyblack> integrate coinoUSD as payment method in FreeMarket
[08:05] <coinomat> cool stuff
[08:05] <coinomat> let's do it
[08:05] <coinomat> I need to check that, it's in API but it hasn't been used
[08:06] <blackyblack> ok I will wait for more info
[09:21] <coinomat> yeah we should add BTC/Coino
[09:21] <coinomat> it's only coino-fiat for now
[09:21] <coinomat> tell me pls what you need exactly
[09:57] <blackyblack> we need to have an easy way for cutomers to replenish coinoUSD balance
[09:58] <blackyblack> so they can buy some coinoUSD and trade for desired goods
[09:58] <blackyblack> I think we need coinomat API for instant purchasing of coinoUSD with NXT and BTC
[10:39] <coinomat> all right, we'll do it for you
[10:39] <coinomat> what's the current status of FreeMarket, sorry for asking?
[10:40] <blackyblack> it's active
[10:40] <l8orre> Hi Guys! Sorry I lost track a bit of coinomat cards- are the new ones available yet?
[10:40] <blackyblack> we have an app and a site. actively developing.
[10:40] <l8orre> seems like an excellent idea by the way (integrate coinomat to FM!)
[10:41] <blackyblack> it is mostly integrated already. we want to have an easy way for replenishing coinoUSD balance

It does integrate shapeshift! That's how you can convert bitcoindark, bitcoin, and litecoin.

Ops I didn't realize Freemarket was already using shapeshift, I thought that (http://postimg.org/image/7yfmmfkgz/) was the multigateway (http://multigateway.org/)!!! Great!

That is correct, and we have CoinoUSD payments functioning now and in testing. Should be in the next release.

And yes, we use ShapeShift for coin conversions.

And no, those screenshots are not photoshopped. (I am flattered, I guess, that they fooled someone!) That is what the UI looks like, and it is functioning and available right now.

Nice distribution  /s  ..  plus no anonymity features.
Is the market, freemarket and other features fully opensource?
No thanks!

What does distribution of a coin have to do with the functional features of a financial platform? Are you not using the dollar or the euro in a shop because some people are fiat millionaires? You sound like a butthurt PoW miner, poor you ::)

Like bitcoin you mean? Right...
Read up on bitcoindark or SuperNET features (some in development).

NXT Market yes. Freemarket is 3rd party app, no.
As was already said of course.

No thanks!

Are you going to spam ALL of the NXT threads with your screenshot of the tiny amount of NXT traded on bittrex?

So take your piece of shit Java coin  ::) and go to hell!

Fuck off with your bullshit,  use a real programming language then we'll talk.

Long story short:  You're a retard.
Where do all these morons on these forums come from?

Not sure where you, TaunSew (you're probably one of his troll accounts), and the others come from, but we all sure wish you'd go away.

Yet NXT remains firmly in the top 10.  How about the PnD's you've "invested" in that are "better than NXT" (SLING, CRAVE) :D :D :D

That doesn't mean anything,  others have been in the top 10 ..  doesn't mean they'll stay there.

Still a piece of shit Java based bullshit.

Once it got into the top 10, I don't think it ever fell below it.  Keep hating though, we're enjoying the show.  I heard dibbits was good, you should try that.

Lets remember history for a moment.

NXT was all mined, approximately 1,000,000,000 tokens, instantly.

They were then given to forum members deemed most influential or a friend of the developers, 50 people got ALL THE COINS instantly.

There is very little in liquidity, creating a false illusion of wealth, try to sell 500,000 NXT on cryptsy and see what happens to that price!  On the other hand you could sell that much of Litecoin and the market for Litecoin would NOT hiccup!

NXT should be rightfully called out as the biggest insta-mine scam in the history of alt-coins.  It is written in JAVA.  It was kept CLOSED SOURCE to hide major flaws and security issues.

They keep promising features that then do not appear and claim features that do not really work.  Have you tried to use their asset exchange?  Not really functioning.

Should be renamed SHT or SCM.  :)

--edit--

NXT says scamming is okay -

Fairness is one of the most important factors, if not THE most important factor, for the viability of any crypto coin.

Unfortunately, NXT got it wrong.

fairness is a fake concept which has no place in capitalism

if u dont know this then u are delusional.  there is no fair cryptocurrency, this is hyprocite talk

look at bitcon its the worst obviously. fairness is such a joke anyway. there is no such thing as fairness in this world

Thank you for admitting that NXT is a scam - see this is the mentality of NXT and people behind it.

People who made NXT believe and support scamming.

Fairness is what separates men from animals and the 1st world from the 3rd world.

Fairness and empathy are what make us human.

NXT is inhumane, as proven by the poster above by his support and admission that NXT is a scam, even defending NXT's right to scam you.

So because what it says happened awhile ago,  means it isn't true?

Sure are a delusional one, aren't you?

Because the initial distribution whining isn't relevant anymore, it's very nicely distributed now.  As far as cryptsy volume goes, lol.  Again, piss off.

It still shows the demeanor and initial attitude behind the coin.

One that I will not invest in.

So, you can piss off :)

ur right. nxt can be a shitcoin ... i'm not buying the coin neither, but on the paying dividends of nxt assets, i rather buy that then sell it to btc.

there! dont buy the coin... buy into the platform via its assets as they pay dividends themselves.

Since Come-from-Beyond boycotts Bitcointalk for censoring his posts in important discussions, enjoy....

An interesting and entertaining thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=651057.0

The OP has a quote of FrictionlessCoin in his sig!

Edit: Speech analysis says that it's another sockpuppet of FrictionlessCoin. How is his NEX btw?

I've not seen a thead this contrived and vehement in a while  :D

Anyone interested in the truth can read it blow by blow in the original announcement thread here >>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303898.0

Then come back and we can play spot the difference with the OP  :D :D :D
