Title: ☢ ALERT For All Faucet Users! ☢ [READ ASAP]
Post by: GuessWho? on June 24, 2015, 12:58:45 AM
I wanted to make a thread in this section (micro earnings) to let all the faucet users know some important info that can "make or break" the existence of faucets in the future.

ALL faucet sites depend on the "ad revenue" (from banners) in order to keep the faucet (free bitcoin) flowing.

My point... PLEASE turn off (disable) your ad blocker apps and add on's while you're visiting any faucet website.

If more people support the faucet sites, you will start seeing higher prizes on ALL the faucets over time. BTCBTCBTC

If everyone keeps using the "ad blockers" and claiming free coins, it will KILL all the faucets and the idea of "100% free bitcoin" will be a thing of the past.  :'( :'( :'(

If more faucet users read, understand and agree with the above message, we will all see a great future full HIGH PAYING FAUCETS.  ;D

I know this community and I know if we (faucet users and faucet owners) start working together, we WILL see a much better faucet prizes in the future. :)

NOTE FOR FAUCET LIST & ROTATOR OWNERS: Please Put A Note To Remind Your Users To Disable Ad Blockers And they Will See Better Prizes (Over Time).

Please Reply to this thread to "sign our pledge" to not use any ad blocking while on any faucet website from now on.

I never use any sort of adblocking at all, my small income depends on it, just like faucet owners.
But some websites make it impossible to make a claim, with multiple redirects.

I do not mind the odd pop under or even adfly, but when you cannot even get on the site, it really annoys me.

This for instance Home - Daily Free Bits - Win free Bitcoins daily!

If you have no adblocking on at all, including nothing to stop pop under, you will see its imposssibe to even see the site, except for the
re-direct.

Edit: it seems that re-direct has gone now, about time, it was on for some days.

Second Edit: http://dailyfreebits.com/#refer (http://dailyfreebits.com/#refer) really bad redirect.

I use adblock in the normal surfing, but disable when i use a faucet.
I understand all faucet for live request a ads, but more faucet is unfair, use banner ads to the phrase "click for claim" or use very more pop up.

Some popular faucets like moonbitcoin and bitcoinzebra uses an anti adblock script to detect users from using them, and would prevent users from using them. I think most adblock users would just disable the adblock once and for all, just for convenience, so I would say most faucet users have their adblocking thingy disabled.

As for the faucet owners, they can also add an anti adblock script too, so it'll work both ways :) I do have a popup blocker enabled though, cos there are irritating, and some are even NSFW.

I used to use an ad-blocker on every faucet i used, and even had an anti anti-adblocker script, and always found a way to bypass them, until i made my owh site..

Now, I no longer use an ad-blocker except from some sites that are ad-whores and deserve not to get any ad revenue..

I don't have AdBlock installed on my browser but my browser has AdBlock built-in, lol.
But I've disabled it everytime I visit a faucet.

Sometimes, it is annoying to visit faucets that has hundreds of ads on it... :-\

Sites that have a thousand ads and even pop ups are called ad-whores and they don't deserve any ad-revenue.

I agree, as a faucet owner we rely on ads as income to fund the faucet, if people continue to use ad blockers eventually faucets won't be able to fund themselves.

I also agree with the fact that some faucets do have a ridiculous amount of ads which isn't needed 3 or 4 max is fine anymore then that it makes the site look tacky and unwelcoming.

Many people say use a script to block ad blocker, blocking users from using the site. It doesn't work there is many ways round the script for example using an anti ad blocker addon on your browser.

At the end of the day if people want to use faucets to claim bitcoin they should in return support the faucet site by not using ad blockers.

Also note to faucet owners,

Do not use bitMedia.io and CoinURL.com as one of your ad sponsors, specially to high traffic sites or with fluctuating traffic, they will hold your payout, suspend your account and will accuse you of fake and bad quality traffic.

You could try a new advertising system from Adalpine, Great for Faucets and they pay per impression. I use them and get around 0.02 per day from them. I have payment Proofs too.

www.adalpine.com/ads (http://www.adalpine.com/ads)

Currently you can have 5 ads on any page and they will pay for each impression on those ads for the same visit. Minimum per impression is something like 15 sato x 10000 or 30000 impressions per day soon mounts up.

You must have their ads in the top half of your site before the scroll.

I have 6 ad banners, 3 from bitmedia, around 25k traffic/day and around 400-500 clicks.
With bitmedia you are playing with fire.

yeah that might be why, 400-500 clicks is allot... I have around the same traffic daily and I only get about 20-30 clicks a day with spikes to 50 clicks.

most ad networks don't like CTR that are over 1% because they think you are telling people to click your ads.

Faucet owners can add a script where it can detect if a user is using a ad blocker or not as far as I know. If they detects that a user has adblocker enabled the user won't be able to claim from that faucet.

So it's better to add a anti adblocker to solve this issue. And yes users should not be using adblockers while surfing the faucets as they will end up drying the faucet since the faucet earns through ad revenue. Owners share some % with the users and they keep rest for themselves and maintaining the sites.

Some anti adblockers do not work for every ad blocker add on so that's why I made this thread so I can personally ask the faucet users to stop using the ad blockers and ask faucet list/rotator owners to add a notice to tell users to turn off their ad blockers while using the list/rotator and "support" the faucets...together, we can create a future with higher paying faucet sites. :)

Normally users of rotator keep the ad blocker off, because it interrupts their claiming to most of the faucets that trigger anti adblocker notice while surfing the faucets.

owner may hate adblocker faucet, but users faucet was not too fond of advertising, so I would suggest to the owner that the faucet, do not advertise too much, and most importantly speed when opening the site

I've said it before and I say it again - we're all a big family - both faucet users and webmasters.
I agree that, in order for this whole system to be possible, we need ADS to be shown to users, BUT we also have to be reasonable with the ads.
I've seen websites that need 10-20 seconds to load, because they were too clogged up with ads. That's not how to do business in my opinion.

Also, another category of admins who are NOT OK are those who explicitly inform their users to CLICK ads or use deceptive means to gain revenue. Again, this is not OK.
Luckily, most of these websites die slowly but surely. They either get banned from the advertising networks or they lose traffic and in the end most of the users will just give up on them. I think users should check the ads ONLY if they're genuinely interested in them. That's how it all works.

If we all work together (owners and users), we will be able to raise the prizes for all faucets over time.

Hi faucet owners and users.

We use adblocker detector for or faucet on home page and claim page (http://bitcoinspace.net/freebitcoins (http://bitcoinspace.net/freebitcoins))  - I hope it works :)

Most of the users know about this (especially russian people who are 30-40% of my visitors.

Regarding Bitmedia ads : we have 25k unique visitors and over 120 click per day - no problem with the payments (the revenue is low, but they pay)

Agreed on Bitmedia.io warning.

The most traffic and higher pending balance you have, the most chances of getting a sudden ban for "low quilaty traffic" and losing any pending balance.

Watch out faucet owners!
