Title: P2P Cryptographic Assets
Post by: RandomQ on September 16, 2012, 09:40:13 AM
I just wanted to throw this idea around and get some feedback on it.

Having a P2P Network that was decentralized to allow the trade of Assets or Securities.

Of course there would be no way to police this do to the nature of it.
Only using a feedback system like Bitcoin-OTC would help screen out scammers.

I was thinking a client software would pool the P2P network, allowing checking of Buy/Sell Offers.

The client would use bitcoins to allow the value of said asset to be transfered.

The Asset would be a encrypted file equaling 1 share or asset. The issuer would have one set of key and the Buyer would have another set of keys.

On The transfer of asset the Buyer key would be changed to the new owner by the system.

The Issuer key would allow the Issuer to access a dividend Address to allow dividend payment to the owner.

If there is anything like this already please let me know, I already know about that bank on tor and that gold asset on tor.
