The first series of Genesis Coins has a total minting of 300 coins from the following cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (10), Litecoin (10), Dogecoin (10), Coin2 (30), Hyper (30), Peercoin (30), Namecoin (30), ShadowCash (30), DNotes (30), Darkcoin (30), Reddcoin (30), and Clams (30).

My goal is to attempt to finish the complete sets numbered 001 and 009.  So far I have 5 coins from #001, 6 coins from #009.  So, I will be interested in anything numbered from those series, and am willing to trade or outright purchase any of them.

If you want to trade for, or purchase, any of mine the terms are simple:
- I will outright trade 1 for 1 gold/gold or silver/silver, you get your number, I get mine.  Trades of gold for silver or vice versa will be lopsided.
- Gold plated coins are worth 0.175BTC and silver 0.10BTC to me.  That's my offering price, and selling price for mine.  Negotiations are welcome.

I have 2 Litecoin, ezeminer and hedgy have one each, those are the only ones I've seen so far.  I'll echo your sentiments, seems odd there's not that much interest.

On that note it was a busy weekend and there are only about 13 or 14 packs left for sale (have to check exact amount in a bit) as well as about 50 singles still for sale.

I'm quite the opposite. At first glance, I thought they were OK. Not bad, but nothing special. But now I quite like the design, and I'm happily collecting them. ;D

Besides, this is only the first series, and wheelz was more-or-less testing the waters with his new "baseball card pack" concept / spin on the physical bitcoin collectibles market. (Which I find absolutely brilliant!) I think he did a very respectable job, and I believe he should be very proud of the Genesis Coin. (Way to go, wheelz!) And I can't wait until series II / 2016! ;)

What balances are they loaded with? I assume they're loaded because they have holograms that say "valid" and "genuine" on them. Thanks.

They aren't shipped loaded, but you can load them if you like. The full public address is on the coin. :)

Possum, thanks for your interest and as CJ has stated they are not loaded when shipped.  The full public address is engraved on the back so they can be loaded at any point. Series one is non denominational but that might change in future lines   ;)

Any chance you will make a toned down version for a next batch?

I can tell you there will be less charachters on the "base" of the coin.  Design for series 2 is not finalized.  Will provide more details as the design matures.  Thanks asuryan.

BTW is it the dates in the center of side 1 the coincide with the genesis block of each of the 12 coins.  Is it names around the outside edge, or the contrast of the blacks and metals.  Like to hear all feedback!

I feel like a community voted series 2/3 coin would be pretty cool.

First series of Genesis, misprint, very limited amount of coins, also wheelz said any mistakes in the future will be scrapped and re minted, so i would say if the series becomes popular in the future it will be worth more! a lot more.

I am coming a little late to the party, but looking to complete a set. I am not worried about numbers right now, I just want a full set. I prefer trades whenever possible. I am not looking to spend a lot of BTC on these but to have some fun with them. What I like about this series is that it reminds me of the early physical cryptos that were more about trying new things and less about the commodification of Bitcoin.

I'm not sure you'd be interested, because it looks like you're wanting to collect a different kind of "set" (one type of coin vs. one number series) than the rest of us, but I've decided to sell my nearly complete #010 series.

I've recently decided to start a small side project that needs funding, plus I feel a little greedy collecting series #002 and series #010. I don't need both, so if someone else would like to join the Genesis Coin club, then please feel free to PM me with an offer.

I have eleven of the twelve (11 of 12) from the Genesis Coin #010 series. I'm only missing Shadowcoin #010.

I also have six or seven odd Shadowcoins available, mostly in the teens and low twenties.

You will have more luck trying to gather a specific number than a specific coin. Trust me, many people do not want to give up their Bitcoin coins, and many have been looking for Bitcoin coins. Same for shadowcoins.

These have been pretty old post but i have to revive it!
