they are around 3800 actually, because of the diff retarget(two week) and the hash that keep increase

in fact there was day where 3900+ coins were produced

If you check Last 48 hours; (last 2 days):
287 blocks were created and 7175 bitcoins were created.

For the last 2 days 1 blocks were less found from the average.

As others have said, it is around 3600 new Bitcoins mined per day, Plus or Minus 100. However, after the block halving next year, that number will drop significantly. Daily Bitcoin production after the halving should be at around 1800 new Bitcoins per day (plus or minus a few hundred), until the next halving of course.

Theoretically it is 10 minutes between each block, but reality shows that the 10 minute rule is not exactly right as others have stated. Stats should be taken with a pinch of salt.


Do you know the exact day? I wonder if there was a little difference in price due to the extra coins.

The blocks are not created exactly every 10 minutes, usually they are created in less time(or the halvings would not happen before than predicted)

Of course in some days more are created, and in some days less are created, and the number is always very close to 3600 every day, but not EXACTLY 3600

10 minutes is target time. If network hash rate is increasing, block creation time is a little less than 10 mintues until difficulty is adjusted to faster hash rate. If network hash rate is decreasing, block creation time is a little more than 10 minutes until difficulty adjusted to lower hash rate.

the number actually changes a bit over/under target depending on how many blocks are solved

any site where we can find how many blocks have been solved in the last 24 hours?

blockchain.info has some charts on how many coins are created, you can check out the difference for each day but i don't know about exactly what you want.

Why are you making February 29 as an exception? February 29 is also a day which have 24 hours and theoretically 144 blocks created, so the number of coins that could generate on that day should be roughly the same as other days (3300-3900 BTC/day according to existing posts).
