Title: Though we all can Help Post by: AFarpa on June 28, 2015, 05:44:55 AM In Africa, hunger is a constant, chronic pain gnawing away at hungry children. Starving children in Africa can, and should, become a thing of the past. We must put an end to starvation in Africa and we can't do it without you. The good news is, Save the Children has many proven ways to help stop hunger in Africa,
The worst drought in 60 years aggravates the suffering of one of the poorest regions of the world: the Horn of Africa, in the northeast of the continent. The situation that has left 13 million in emergency situations, according to the UN, and kills about 10,000 children every month led several organizations to make an appeal for help. According to the UN, the famine has been declared in five regions of Somalia, most punished by the crisis. To avoid that the same situation reaches other areas are needed to raise R $ 3.8 billion ($ 2.4 billion) - so far, donors have provided US $ 1.5 billion ($ 1 billion) . And who will be feeding all these people in 2100? Starvation is widespread in Africa, because most of the land is either desert or woodland, and therefore unsuitable for farming. Africa doesn't have the resources to sustain its current population. And imagine what would happen in 2100.
