'sell now or wait for the next hype' . You have no idea what a real bitcoin hype will be, it will be an epic mark in the bitcoin movement. I don't think so its happening and the price will rise even more this weekend.

They can't take back the fact that there were currency controls and the banks closed.
The people won't forget to quickly, if anything I would expect the Greeks to buy more if the crisis is temporarily over.

At the moment others should be leading the charge, if it can happen in Cyprus and Greece, why not Spain, Portugal, Italy or France?

It doesn't sound like the Greek Prime Minister has any intention of accepting the last minute offer. The offer is conditional on Tsipras accepting the EU proposals and pledging to campaign for them in the referendum. The Greek government has stated Tsipras will vote against the proposals in the referendum.

A Greek government official said that it listened with interest to what was being proposed but said: "Alexis Tsipras will vote "no" on Sunday."

Tsipras would have to send a written acceptance of the version of proposals from the lenders published on Sunday, with a pledge to campaign for them to be accepted in the planned July 5 referendum.

People are not buying bitcoin right now because they need it, the ones that do cant access their funds anyhow. People are buying bitcoin because it is being marketed in a new light to them accross Europe. Social mood has changed toward bitcoin and the market is positioned to move, it cant be stopped now simply by a greece bailout, deal, etc etc....

This guy confirmed his troll status when he said sell now.  Most people here are long term holders.  If we didn't sell at $157 you think we're going to sell now?  Lol

Bitcoin won't fall because it has already proven itself to be superior during crisis like that. People now know that they can trust bitcoin at times when they cannot trust their banks and ATMs. Bitcoin has already won from this, no matter what the politics say or do next. Bitcoin has already closed the deal.

All hail you why? The price is at 255/256. At least wait until/if we get to 240 before you start congratulating yourself buddy. People are dumping and taking small profits but we're still not even in the low 250's let alone at 240.
Maybe you've got excited too soon.

Doubt the troika will go along with it. Any deal that is put forth will include a Greek capitulation. And a worsening of the austerity measures, which Greece will never accept and probably couldn't survive with. The referendum is maybe a way for them to try and improve their negotiating position. But I doubt it will work to reach a deal anytime soon.
