someone made a suggestion in another thread, and I thought it'd be interesting to see how much btc everyone had, so I made a poll as par the suggestion. more so directed at the newbies, but everyone is welcome to vote.

I don't have much as well! Is this poll just for the newbie? This is the reason you post this topic on this board! I don't think they own much bitcoin! If you go to Bitcoin Discussion, the users there have more bitcoins than here!

i did mean this more for newbies, but everyone is welcome to vote as well, no need to get angry. I thought it would be cool to see how far deep into bitcoin newbies are getting, most newbies stick to faucets and such, and would likely have under 0.01 BTC, but I have seen some just up and buy 10+ btc as a newbie. I though it's be neat to see.

Anyway since I'm ever being newbie, I'm having about BTC 0.08 That's still small amount since I'm ever doing big bet and loss.
And yes gambling has the consequence so I'm feel no regret although I'm loss. Just bet for fun.

At the moment I have i have app 2BTC, and growing very rapidly, I love these sig campaign from where im earning good earning

if you have above 10, better to not say it, because last time i did that, plenty of scammers newbie has sent me fishy link and every kind of things, trying to infect me or whatever....

pretty annoying...

These threads pop up and I'm surprised each time when people anwser this question.   I think if you come out with a big number it makes you a target.   Sounds like you experienced this.

No matter how much you have keep it safe.  I personally like cold storage, lots of options there.   And I suggest not telling your holdings.

thats why I used a poll; no need to post how much you have, just a simple vote. also I doubt people holding 10+ btc would be dumb enough to click any suspicious links form newbie accounts, but i may be wrong on that. hopefully not.

At the moment I have less than 1BTC. Im think i will have more than 1BTC with in 2 weeks, because im earning good money from this campaign.

I have about 0.6 BTC at the moment.

My net worth right now after buying some things and gambling would be like 3.4 btc + 1 in the kialara, this last one wont get spent any soon :).

pd: i hold my cryptos in CLAM, it offers me 1.5% weekl just by staking.

Less than 1 and more than 0.4, get from sig campaign, sell my skill and little trading.

Trading right now, hopefully reach BTC1 in a few days (waiting some payments from sig campaign and twitter) but it can be less if trading fails  :P

sorry for a noob question but is it useful to use cold wallets for such small amounts as 1 btc? i was thinking about doing that but im not sure

Well i guess that if you want to hold it for long term yes, but if you are going to ruine it in short term as long as you have backup is no need.

since you said ruin i guess you have paper wallets in your mind as cold storage.
but you can create other offline wallets and use them as cold storage and they don't get ruined if you use them.
like for example Electrum offline wallet, you can send from it by signing the tx and broadcasting it on a different pc which is online.

The sad part is scams are all too prevalent around here. It's both the good and the bad of being decentralized.

i actually didnt know humble bundle accepted bitcoins! i might just go ahead and pick up the borderlands bundle right now, that 75% off the presequel coupon looks rather tempting :)

They started late last year I believe -- I found out around the end of year bundles, :). And the minimum amount is like 0.0001 BTC or 0.001 BTC (whatever it is, it's really small).

I am sure your response is being playful, but I would tend to agree that 10 BTC is not necessarily enough to be called a whale. With that said, how much does it take to be considered a whale? 100, 1000, 10,000?

Myself, I would consider those holding ~3,500 BTC or so to be a whale, as that is close to 1 mil USD at today's prices.

Ive got just under 2btc after I finish this last programming job.
I'm not gonna withdraw or anything anytime soon, I feel that bitcoins really gonna go up so I'm gonna HODL

im thinking the price might jump a whole lot sometime next year when the next halving occurs. dont know if itll jump to 1k again but hopefully itll be at least 400+ dollars :)

Next jump will be up to 300, this year, and maybe the big jump next year will be 400 or beyond.
1k Just seems too much out of reach, especially how big bitcoin is now. Thats almost a 4x increase, so imagine all bitcoin companies having their capital increase by 4x instantly.
Thats just too unstable

0.06+ at coinbase and 0.03+ at some gambling sites ;D ;)

Hi there new guys.  Unfortunately, I only have right at 1 BTC due to some not so good investments.  :-[

it is very difficult to find a good place to invest, I just advise you to try trading altcoin

I totally would if I had the knowledge to know what and when to buy and sell.  :-\  It is very attractive; I just don't know enough about it.

don't waste time with altcoin, they are risky, especially for newcomers

try something like bit4x or 1broker, they let you trade forex, stocks ecc.. wiht bitcoin, profit is guaranteed even for a newbie

Well you can wait it patiently until you rank get higher, at least until full member rank, and then you can get more bitcoin with your signature campaign  8)

you are wearing a signature campaign, how come you have zero? you are not buying bitcoin only when you need them at all, you are earning with your signature as well

id think its just signature spam; anyways, theres not sense in buying bitcoin when you need them, always have some ahead of time. exchanges take a few days and a deal on this forum for bitcoin may not always work out speedily.
