And since you can never determine whether an anonymous person is alive, I guess you can't award an anonymous entity a nobel prize. I could be wrong, though.

It does not appear that you have to have a name to win the prize. However, it does appear you have to be alive. And you have to be nominated by someone qualified. I can get you 7 different votes for the Baseball Hall of Fame, 3 for the Football Hall of Fame, actually have an Oscar in my home and know several voting members, but the Nobel is beyond even my remarkable connections. 1. Economics 2. Computer Programming 3. High level Mathematics 4. Statistics 5. Forensics / Cryptography ... and most possibly on several other fields too. I'd classify him/her as a top rated IQ man/woman on a level over 200. IF he's/she's one man/woman you will definitely knew he/she was around.
