Title: Fairytale castle in Germany accepts Bitcoin
Post by: bugm on July 02, 2015, 12:22:46 PM
Schloss Heinrichshorst is a small but magical castle in the middle of the woods surrounding the "Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide" near Magdeburg, Germany. It's a unique historical building from 1899, embraced by the beauty and peacefulness of the centuries-old forest. It's the perfect place for a summer retreat and they also accept Bitcoin!

At Schloss Heinrichshorst, they speak Dutch, English, French and German, so international guests are more than welcome.

rpietila, is that you? :)
If I had a castle, I would rent it for something like that, or create some sort of Bitcoin museum, do something. I doubt I would live inside a castle, too creepy. I wonder if rpietila still owns his castle or has he sold it?

;D
It does look a little creepy, interesting that it accepts BTC though. I guess it's privately owned rather than by a group or large chain. In which case the owner obviously is aware & probably a BTC user/investor even before he/she decided to accept BTC as payment for this castle.

I wonder what type of people stay there, it'd be awesome for like a spring break or frat party ;D.
Good luck to the owner any way, I hope they do very well. I won't be booking in though, it looks a little too weird for me, I like my beach type holidays.

As far as I know, rpietila was using his castle to make some sort of Bitcoin meetings, he was hiring people a while ago. Ultimately tho, I think he decided to sell it, I think I saw he was selling it for around 4500 BTC.

It looks like a chateau rather than a castle.

Also Wasn't rpietila's castle in Findland?
