hi .
which company or brand tablet are you using ..and which one is best one  ..?  As i have to buy tab for my younger sis for her bday gift so suggest me .. i have no experience with tablet.. ??

There is no best brand for tablets, just as there isn't one for smartphones.
I guess this really depends on what you're looking for/your budget. Apple and Samsung are usually the best in both segments (tablets and smartphones). You could try Ipad Air 2 or Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

I use Nexus 7 2013 and I love it. Was on Nexus 7 1st generation before.

I always pick up cheap ones on dx.com... Actually depends on what your sis will use it for. If it's for watching movies/surfing the web, even a $30 one will do the trick...

It depends upon your budget which has not been disclosed in this thread but the intention is good . I would suggest samsung brand for tabs . They have strong base in multiple electronic areas . I have a plamtop and two phones in which one is a smartphone , all of them have same brand and its samsung .

I agree but they're overprice. A cheaper one will do they job just as good, just don't go too cheap. Op, why don't you give us your budget and maybe people can give you better recommendations based on that.

anything but apple. about 70% of ipad's price is just fart air going to the cayman islands

Well you could have said that in the first place. It is usually Sony who makes these.

Sony Z3 Compact would be a decent pick if you don't want something big, since it is 8.1 .

That's what I was just thinking. You should state this vital requirement in the op. Does it really need to be waterproof? Are there many tablets that are even waterproof? I'd just go with a cheap one. I just googled waterproof ones and they seem to be very expensive.

Why do you need a waterproof tablet? Are you going to dive underwater with it?

yeah it's really need to be waterprof ,... i have google before i start this thread .. found many tablet which are water proof .. i just want to know among all of them which one is best ... well going with cheap tablet for a tab dont make sens for me i always prefer good quality .and good quality come with good price ..:p

i had a chinese brand tablet with dual core processor 8 gb storage 512 mb ram, it was okay but i had problem with charging it, i fixed that problem and now the touch doesn't work. But it was only 40 euros. So i guess it was okay for that amount of money :P
I would say that samsung galaxy tab and apple ipad are the best

samsung and apple aremore costly and i can have better features in sony brand ..

Samsung Tab series is not an expensive tablet, have great performance and that makes them a great deal. Apple tablets are expensive but they are the top of the list, their quality is just perfect :))) Sony is a very good brand also you are right, but i will never buy a sony tablet, if i have to it would samsung for sure :)))

I see lot of recommendations. Basically u need to calculate how much money u plan to spend on tablet. Better things cost more, but u can buy some nice tablet with normal money it will not be iPad, Samsung.. lenovo is ok my sister have it over a year, and i use Asus 7 over 2 years. U have other ones not so expensive also.

I think that Asus and Dell are good laptop/computer brands. They are the best for me. I recommend to choose some of them. I am using them a lot of time and I am satisfied with them. I have not problem with them. :)

That is not even related to this. If they make good laptops and/or computers(or parts) that does not mean that they make good tablets too.

If one does not plan to use it to play heavy games then the right table in the medium price range will be excellent for the person. Going overkill just because one can is never the right answer.

Yes. Cheap and have quality. You should also look around that samsung gives that "seal of quality" on every 1000th tablet or phone or what ever.. but Tesla have on every single one.

Get an ipad pricey but the specs are very fast and its great i bought an air1 and 2.

For Tablet you should prefer Samsung or apple.

 
I find the 16/9 displays useless in 10.1" tablets. Might be ok on the bigger ones 12 inch or more. The 7" ones are too small.

The 4/3 display is best so my pick would be the new 9.7" models from Samsung. Apple is too expensive and proprietary for me.

Nexus.

I have read and heard that Nexus is good. I own a Samsung myself.

Samsung is my favorite for phones and tablets.

Surface Pro is my favorite
