Title: Bitcointalk Mass Messenger?
Post by: GiocareHost on July 05, 2015, 10:51:45 AM
Is there any Bitcointalk mass messenger?
I am talking about an application which can message to all the users on this forum.
It can be well used for advertisements and warnings(against all the scammers). If there isn't any program than I would like to copyright this project  8)
If you think you can create one, then PM contact me.

I don't see this forum using 3rd party application, If this forum has something new Theymos will make announcement thread on meta.
You could send PM to multiple recipients without apps on "BCC field".

What is the purpose sending PM to mass recipients whilst you don't know them ?, if recipients reported these PMs, I think the sender will get banned.

Of course we wont use our own account to send PM's
We will buy an account and than make it a bot.Just like the auto-sigbot by marcotheminer.
And we will take permission from theymos before polluting this forum  ;D

The new forum is under progress. And 80% of it is already made
Checkout this repository:

How would it work? You could send it through PMs, but not everyone checks PMs, and the PM system already can send to everyone. It is just a fast way to get banned. You could send it through email, but not everyone's email is public, working, or even there.

This is just a step of the evolution of the bittalk forum. It has a massed so many members this is helpful to all.
But replacing this forum with epochtalk? That I don't agree with. Would it be a migration without any effects to members accounts. That would be a step in the right direction  :-X

First of all it's not gonna be good, we'll get lots of spams, ref links etc.
I don't concent such thing. If you want something like that you can join irc channels.

Also theymos doesn't pay 100 BTC weekly. He pays monthly(?) and total of 1 mil $ in bitcoins to the main developers of epochtalk.

This is bad idea.
No one like a lot of spam in
their message box.... and your account
can be banned.

Fuck spam. One can hope the new forum software includes a webchat with or without linkage to Freenode IRC #bitcoin-talk.

I researched a little bit and I found out that such a messenger is not possible without the boards admin permission. So it's only the admin that can create and use such a messenger.
It can be used to announce important news and there will be auction for this mass messenger advertising.Just like the way there is auction for advertising on this board!

I don't think that would be allowed. Wouldn't that be unsolicited messages if you're sending advertisements?

I heard that there is a software which allows us to communicate in a particular thread.
But this is not for bitcoin community.
