Title: Wow.... NXT on Forbes. Monetary System - 2.0 Blockchain based national currency?
Post by: box0214 on July 05, 2015, 11:58:53 PM
http://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2015/07/05/greek-economic-crisis-is-a-parallel-currency-the-answer/

Perfect use of the Monetary System (color coins) feature in NXT... only problem.. it requires NXT to send those coins out... seems to be an inherit problem with all colored coin tech..

Bob sends Jane 100x Greece Coins that sits on some other blockchain.... but Jane doesnt have any of the native coins to send those coins back out.... FAIL...  until someone comes up with a solution.

Would be good if there was some type of service that auto filled Jane's wallet with just enough of the native currency every day to do some transactions.

Great article!

Anyone who calls nxt a 'scam' clearly has never used it. It is still lightyears beyond competing crypto tech. and they are terrified of that!

Mainstream coverage is always good.

Nxt and SuperNET will be big  ;D ;D ;D

NXT IPO was as scammy as any startup. Was Facebook a scam coz Zuckerburg got most of the shares? What about Apple, Microsoft ... any company startup where founders get a lot of shares?

NXT is a new breed of financial entity. Not exactly a decentralized company with shares, but some similarities. Not exactly a P2P crypto like bitcoin, but very similar. It certainly isn't a scam, but it is a fantastic platform, and that's being recognized by people outside this small world on BTT, by people who aren't jealous like you.

That's exactly how people like you are dismissed out of hand in the mainstream business world, FYI. "They're just jealous" spares a lot of ears....

More FUD, please, el Duderino.......you picked a lousy moment to start ragging on NXT:

The distribution argument against NXT is full of jealousy and envy.....I've spoken to many of the original stakeholders, and they are just a bunch of random crypto/BTT people who made one very good decision.
Sure, they got lucky, but it could just as easily been me or you or even Taunsew, if we'd had enough sense to invest in the initial NXT IPO.
The IPO, btw, was not exactly a secret: it ran for 2 months on this forum, open to all.

And what's striking about them is how active they've been subsequent to that "one very good decision." Had they just taken their winnings and ran, or even sat on their behinds, Nxt would have just faded away like so many other altcoins. When you consider what he built - and much more importantly, what he inspired - BCNext was woefully underpaid!

It was actually 5 people pretending to be 73 and there's no way for you to prove that's not true and that's why IPO are a horrible and the most scamiest way to release a coin. Investors know this and that's why no IPO coin will ever go mainstream.

Actually, it was the flying spaghetti monster's 73 noodly appendages who descended from the Great Meatball and upon coming to planet earth transformed into 73 virgin olives which were eaten by 73 virgins, impregnating them, who immaculately conceived the magical "73" apostles of NXT...

AND THERE'S NO WAY FOR YOU TO PROVE THAT'S NOT TRUE!
