Title: [WTB] Core i7 5960x and/or socket 2011-v3 motherboard and/or DDR4 RAM
Post by: allinvain on July 07, 2015, 06:30:19 AM
Just testing the waters to see if I can find a good deal on a brand new i7 5960x CPU. If you have an Asus X99-A/3.1  or Asus Rampage V Extreme Motherboard I'd be interested in that too. Heck I'll take DDR4 RAM too but it has to be G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series. I'd be interested in 32 GB (4 x 8 DIMMS). I should mentioned that I'd like these new in sealed box.

Payment in BTC with escrow via OgNasty.

Depending upon pricing, I may be interested in a similar deal on a 5930k and some other goodies. Let me know if you find anyone with competitive pricing.

Oh, and bump!

I have a 5960X, Rampage V Extreme and 16GB DDR4 Crucial that I'd be willing to part with. Not looking to give it away, though. Located in Montreal.

Well, I for one am not asking for you to give it away, just hopefully beat the retail asking price of most online shops. What is your asking price for each part (PM me if you'd like to keep the price private)? I assume these are all new, right? The 16 GB RAM comes in how many sticks total? Is it 4 x 4 GB or 2 x 8 GB?

CPU is fresh from Intel, had to RMA it. Rampage is used for 3 weeks, like new. I'd do newegg.ca's price -5% and you'd save the taxes on top of the 5% off. I could meet with either you or your friend, so you'd also save on shipping.

RAM is 4 x 4GB, and board has 8 slots.

Cool, let me crunch some numbers and have a quick glance at newegg's pricing once again. I'll pass on the RAM though as I need high density sticks (8 GB) so I can later on potentially upgrade to 64 GB once DDR4 prices fall to the realm of mere mortals.

Hmm, I'm still thinking I'd want this. Anyone here have at least the CPU for sale for a good price?

Oh really? Just sitting there, or are you actually using it? I think last time you offered to sell it it was a tad bit too high for me. I was exploring perhaps getting a 5820k but that now has gone up in price! Thanks Intel!

What are you looking to get out of these?
