Bitcoin Forum

Hello.
I've volunteered as a moderator for the Croatian subsection. I've been pretty much given a green light and have been advised to ask for approval of the community (seems very reasonable).
I would like to become a forum moderator because, I feel like I could help a bigger group of people that are asking for information in addition to making some modification to the section itself. As a moderator I'll continue being positive and engaging and more active in the community (local board; which I previously have not) and keep the subsection clean by moving and ordering threads. I will always be neutral and I'm going to ensure that members follow forum rules and guidelines.

If you have anything against me being a moderator, please post below (possibly in English so that theymos can read it and decide).

Note: This is not a discussion about the need for a moderator, hence the self-moderated thread (admins can see deleted posts anyways).

Pozdrav. Nisam mislio da napišem sve ponovo na hrvatskom, jer se nadam da svi mogu razumjeti tekst iznad. Ukoliko netko ima pitanje ili mu nešto nije jasno slobodno neka pita ili mi se javi putem privatne poruke.
Također ukoliko netko ima nešto konkretno protiv mene molio bih da obrazložite svoje razloge, a ne samo da napišete da se ne slažete s ovime. Mislim da će hrvata biti mnogo više definitivno kada Bitcoin dosegne novu razinu, te da će biti veća potreba za moderatorima.

There's definitely a lot of work in that thread. There are a lot of posts that have to be removed due to forum rules. If I do get chosen, I'm probably going to ask for advice from several people before proceeding to do something about it. I'm also probably going to make a thread to ask our fellow Croatians what they think that needs to be done, and what should we focus on. Having a moderator can have its benefits for a certain section (aside from keep it clean). It will also enable us to get the desired/necessary subsection for the local board (as you've mentioned).

There is also that option. I'm willing to consider a lot of things, as I'm a pretty open-minded person. However, you did not clarify your stance to the original subject.

Yes it does. You are part of the community and your vote has the same value as everyone else's.

Well it isn't easy to make a opinion about me, especially if a person has mostly been in this section. However, maybe some  have had a interaction with me somewhere in the rest of the forum.

I'm not so sure about that. I was asked by theymos to make a thread in this section to see if people approve. Maybe posting in that thread could be useful so that a few others could notice this one.
This section isn't really that active at times, but there's a lot of work that should be done so I guess I can wait for now.

I vote for LaudaM as moderator, also but it seems Bitcoin admin is not interesting to promote him now.
Maybe he think we still don't need moderator.

Thank you for your honest opinion. You have guessed the situation exactly. I'm not sure what the exact reason is, but things are on hold as I've not received a response in quite some time. Well, getting more opinions in the meantime won't hurt. :)

Koliko se ja sjećam ti si protiv moderatora u sekciji općenito? To nije cilj ovdje. Ukoliko imaš nešto konkretno protiv mene molim te da obrazložiš.

Maybe more members of Croatian group should contact admin and request moderator for our Croatian subforum.
In this way he may see that this is important and urgent matter.
I also contacted him before and will do it again.

Ja sam protiv modneriranja općenito ne samo tamo. Protiv tebe imam to jer se samoreklamiraš i želiš tu poziciju to mi je dovoljno da mi se gadi.

Maybe he thinks that it isn't that necessary as there aren't that many posts in this section being made now. However, the older ones need cleaning up (i.e. not just deleting, but rather moving). The big thread needs to be locked as well.
