looks like the ICO did well. All the buy madness before the end. I am now looking at the fact the volume has only gained 0.74btc since the ico ended. This puts up red flags telling me i may have wasted my money.

I was the first to start on his SPC pool and 10min later, he threatened to close it. Had no choice but to point my stuff to SupraNova (not a fan).But not gonna waste the electricity with a pool closed during a temper tantrum.

What is different? Read the points above again! We all got used to ICO with great fairy tales and even more amazing pics (even I love them) and never forget the golden roadmaps. But after ICO ends released price shoots down, dev walking with the funds, you can sell your coins for 1 sat. The only thing what is left for you is looking at the pics and great roadmap.

So no roadmap, no fairy tales, only a community coin that, I hope, surprise you.

So think that should be a green flag, if you think you 'wasted' your money you can sell to the wall and you got your money back, remember I asked Yobit to place a 100% wall instead of the 50% so investors are safe.

just an fyi...if your pool and another pool are up on the same coin...I will most likely point my rigs to other pool. WHY?
Because......Was a awhile ago...but you opened a pool to mine BTC to much fan fare....in support I pointed my rigs to that pool may be 9 ...maybe 15 days....but a block was never found. Complaining about operating at a loss...you closed the pool.....I knew going in it may take a long time to find a block...what I didn't expect was that after only a short time you would close the pool. That incident has kept me away from your pools ever since...or at least making them a pool of last resort if no one else is available

 A fancy roadmap and OP are not necessary but investors would expect at least an idea or your thoughts about how the coin will be used.

I'm invested in this coin and I agree, this coin needs to have some kind of road map.  This can be fun, let's all just throw out ideas and see what sticks.  I'll start.

We are working on building a mobile blogging community.  This mobile app allows it's users to blog, audio blog and vblog on the fly.  The app will utilize it's device location settings notifying the user of any reviews and commentary on any of your nearby locations.  SPC can be used as a tipping service for the apps users.

It should be noted I am not a huge fan of social media and i wouldn't be surprised if this is already in existence.

You are right that miners will dump as soon as it is possible but were will the supply be?  At first there will be little demand and high supply because the miners are dumping in, but once the dumping has ceased there will be little supply. Spike will then be wise to come out with "news" such as a roadmap, big announcement, etc, and the demand will skyrocket.  I'm thinking this is a good one to hold onto.

The alt scene is a total joke right now. It's so bad the owner of c-cex is doing blatant scams (versa) and could care less whether he loses traders because the scene is so dead. Volume is nearly all fake, no new money since forever, the handful of new coins each month coming out are without even a lame attempt at anything new. The time to make btc trading alts has passed, buying anything these days is way bigger risk of losing than winning. Maybe it could turn around, but I've given up with it for now.

I think if the dev had done what he originally said....which was to not allow mining until the 4 days were up after ICO closed...this would not have happened.

Yobit announced it clear, it is buy wall, for 4 day's after ICO ending, so they removed it after 4 day's.
All ICO investors that liked to dump have been able to do so for this period of time, the most also did.

For now enjoy the low price to buy some more :D

Has anyone gotten any stakes yet and if so what is the turn out and do I need more than 100 coins to get stakes quickly ? Reason I ask is I have a data cap on my internet and can't stake for day at a time . I can only stake for a few hours or so at a time .

I am having problems getting the wallet to sync at all. Just D/Led and ran but it doesn't connect to any nodes, period. Setup a .conf file and still won't work. What is happening?

Unfortunately they don't work on my Linux wallet (compiled daemon from GitHub) - I always get stuck on block 2499, even after deleting all my files (except for wallet.dat and SpikesPrivateCoin.conf) and restarting the daemon.

However I was able to connect and download the entire blockchain with the Windows wallet, so I wonder if the GitHub source is perhaps out of date?

i just closed my open wallet, deleted the qt.exe file and replaced it with new qt.exe and ran it, it picked up where it left off straight away.

What is this? And how to read this info?
As you know most of the coins have very similar code bases. But any little bug could damage the whole blockchain. To avoid this people check the code both manually and automatically.  As I know ocminer automatically check code for already known bugs, so his checks couldn't find new bug. Earlz check code manually, but he also could miss something, because codebase is very huge. I chose different way. I wrote the script which compare code in one coin with code in other already inspected coins. So if you see something like "Good blackcoin arch " it means that i already inspected this code before in blackcoin's and arch's source, and I think that its safe. When my script finds new code it asks me to check it manually and tells me which codebases is most similar, so 'CBlock::ConnectBlock                Most similar blackcoin, diff=5, codehash=1a0a6fb0d9bc6aefff4e'  means that most similar code of CBlock::ConnectBlock have seen in blackcoin and there is 5 places where something was changed.
Currently i check only most important functions in main.cpp.

 You are assuming that this is all that is planned... Please understand that all releases are ninja or unknown till released. Spike has more planned but we must wait till his plans unfold...

We all have to put some work in by tweeting, re-tweeting, and promoting....to get the word out.  Has to be noticed by the other exchanges to be included.  But, I think it will start speaking for itself soon enough....so, I'm being patient and buying while it's low and watching my stake power increase daily.

Yes these are the original crypto watches. Spike told me about this in the slack and I thought they were going to be plastic. But these are leather bands with alloy bodies, and the back panel is going to have "SPC".

These will be as collectible in 2 or 3 years as Casascius physical coins are today.

I created SpikesCoin android app(this isn't android wallet). You can set an alarm and you'll get notification if price will fell below the threshold you set.  It shows current price from yobit and 24h high and low. There are also most basic informations about the coin and list of items from spc shop.  Maybe it will be useful for someone.  :)

I still have a very small amount in my wallet. I have two connections but can not synchronizes the wallet. I tried to delete everything except the wallet and still no luck.

I am in the same situation. I hadn't opened wallet for awhile, then I opened yesterday...My wallet has 4 active connections but is not syncing. Seems I am stuck on block 15218 which is since sometime yesterday.

I guess it's the end of the SPC. Most likely the person has the latest block chain has log off his/her wallet.

Hopefully I didn't follow this Jspike call, but sadly I've followed some other call and I've lose money. The only good one was Mystic

Thank you TomVelvetPaws for sharing. I got my wallet working again after redownloaded the whole block chain 2 times and somehow I keep getting stuck on block 15221. I closed wallet and just reopen it after 6 hours and it's working now.

I got stuck at block 15309. I also see "Wallet status: Delayed (15309 blocks)" on yobit.net blocks are not moving anymore.

Yeah, my wallets will say not synced for a couple of days. Then sync up then go back offline.  I have connections all the time but not sure whats happening.

Depends on what is up. Is it just slow chain. No blocks being found at all etc . could just require a node but at the same time may need pow re-enabling to move the chain forward if it's a pos problem(will need to find the root cause regardless tho)

Last time I checked was about 10 days ago. The block chain was about two days delay, I got two connections, and only move few blocks each day. I am not sure about now and it was started at the beginning of November.

Edit: no more connection now.

Give it another month or so when the price is 1 or 2 satoshis , spike will reappear and save us all

Most likely was we didn't have enough nodes up and stake coins someone sent a large amount of coins.

That is why we got stuck. Not sure, if we can just run the node and stake coin. It will fix itself after the coins moved. There is no block explorer to find out. Maybe in the debug mode in the wallet can get some info. Can someone post any active nodes? I will stake my coins. I doubt it Spike will be back for this.

Yesterday I had my wallet (8-11 connections) opened for about 15 hours. Nothing. Even POS icon says I still need to wait 2 hours to get reward  ;D
Also I tried to mine on localhost. Tried everything, but wallet refuses any connections from miner, and "getwork" does not work anymore.

I know....I just opened my SPC client....and nothing!  It seems like if there was going to be a pump group, they'd pump a coin that has a moving client....this project lost support a long time ago and the chain hasn't moved since.  However, the coin supply is fairly small, so it wouldn't be a great leap for somebody to buy the supply and take over the project....just saying!
