Title: Looking for .4 btc loan, Collateral Available through escrow if needed
Post by: riso2015 on July 10, 2015, 10:43:27 PM
Looking for a .4 btc loan with my JVC Everio GZ-MS230AU as collateral if needed. They are worth around $130-$165 used.(Not to be confused with the $27-$50 knock off titivvu or whatever its called)

I will repay the issuer of the loan .56 btc in two months time (20% interest per month) if we have to use the collateral.

I will repay the issuer of the loan .6 btc in two months time (25% interest per month) if we don't need it.

I am in the USA if that helps at all.

physical collateral is hard to get a loan with; its not easy to liquidate and some escrow service providers dont offer to or dont want to hold physical collateral. if you have any virtual collateral such as altcoins it would be a lot easier to get this loan.

If I had altcoins I would just exchange them for btc or sell them and avoid a loan all together lol. Physical collateral is kinda hard but I'm sure there is someone who would be willing to work with me on this...maybe.

It will be easier for you if you mention your location. The lender or an escrow needs to be at a distance to which shipping charges wont be too much.

people dont really like giving that kind of information out though; giving out the continent you live on wouldnt hurt though, and then trying to fine escrowers on the same continent who might be willing to hold physical collateral. its a long shot though.

Yeah maybe. Idk if I had any kind of digital collateral I would use it, unfourtantly all I have thats worth anything is a few domain names and they aren't really valid collateral. The camera however is.

If you are in United States, you can mention that, it will not affect your privacy and you may find a lender or escrow within cheap shipping distance. It will be difficult if you are in, say, Thailand, and not mention that before as worldwide shipping is not an option.

Do you have an escrow in mind for this deal?

Is this the product you have in mind?

Are you able to sign a message from an old address to prove that your account is not hacked? From the looks of it, you have somewhat used your reputation as a means to increase the chances of you getting a loan.

While your camera is certainly better then nothing in terms of collateral, I don't think it is very good collateral. I don't think a lender would have a very easy time in selling it in the event you don't repay your loan, and the shipping costs would take up a good portion of the loan amount.

I can't provide any old addresses unfourtantly, I've actually very recently had to change my btc address on blockchain.info . Had the identifier cookied and not written down :(

If no one wants to do it, its not a big deal. I can try and sell a few domains to get some of the money I need.

Wallet is still empty.
@ BTCBLOGGER - Please sign a message from 1LCXCohMKtb5nBfHkev1rQKCipfj6hNTnz including today's date, and the URL of this thread in order to prove that you are in fact the lender of this loan, and send me the details necessary for me to push the domains being held in escrow to your godaddy.com account. From the looks of it the borrower has defaulted on the loan.

edit: the following is a PM from the borrower confirming his acceptance of the loan:
!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

Ok so quickseller is going to handle our escrow at a rate of .0075btc . I'll send the domains to quickseller on godaddy, you send the btc to quickseller.

Once he confirms he has both, he can send me the BTC - his fee.

If everyones ok with this, then i'll take quicksellers email used to sign up for godaddy and his customer#/username.
I will need to know the duration of the loan, the amount of the loan and what the repayment amount is. Once both parties confirm these details then I will get an escrow agreement written up.

I will also need to know which address that DeveloperinDemand wants to use for the lender to repay him. It should be a fresh address that should not receive any transactions between now and the time the loan is repaid (any transactions to that address should count towards the repayment)

Loan amount: .2btc
Interest: .08 btc
Amount to be repaid: .28 btc
Repayment date: 08-01-2015

You mean to say 1 August 2015 right?

Thats correct.

Thanks riso2015.

No problem man, thank you.
Time to remove the negative feedback from the account riso2015 he paid me 0.137 BTC today and with 0.118 BTC now he paid me 0.255 BTC in total which is quite satisfactory when he is also providing the domain name as compensation so guys please remove feedback from his account as he paid me more what he discussed and finalised in terms.

I will remove my feedback in a few weeks if riso doesn't have any other untrustworthy behavior and remains active.

I appreciate it. Not really sure what how active I am has to do with me repaying this loan but NP.
