So, on Friday, when a gunman in a convertible allegedly shot two people dead in a drive-by shooting spree, jaws dropped. “In a town with 5,500 residents, where we’ve always lived in tranquillity, we only know situations like this from television shows,” Siegfried Hess, mayor of Leutershausen told regional news site nordbayern.de. The death toll could have been much higher, as the German cops are not permitted to use fire-arms. Anyone in the vicinity of the perpetrator would have been sitting ducks (remember the 2011 Norway attacks?). Thankfully, the incident occurred in a sparsely populated area, and the gunman seems to have refrained from shooting more people.

In this case the employees of a gas station (http://images.nordbayern.de/polopoly_fs/1.4508417.1436529171!/httpImage/1703134994.jpg_gen/derivatives/gallery_full/1703134994.jpg) took care of the situation since obviously the guy was not very smart.He actually put his gun on the counter, and the female employee grabbed it. |
